   Living with this right now, visiting my sister. She is not stupid, but she voices the party line on stupid things. She has a doctorate.

   She has twice in the last week stated Trump wants to take away women’s right to vote, and twice I have explained to her that she and I are perfect examples of how women can take her husband’s name, or not, and how they can change the name back, or to any other name, just by going to the court. Both of us took our first husbands’ names, and she changed her name back in the divorce decree, then went to change her driver’s license, voting records, graduation certificates, etc. I changed mine years later by paying the court for the change, then going to the DMV, voting office, etc. Neither of us changed our names after second marriages, and did not change any records. I reminded her we both continued voting and driving legally for another 40+ years.

   I expect she will bring it up again, because she has TDS.

   She has also stated Iran should continue to have nuclear weapons…

     I really don’t understand how people can defend nuclear weapons for Iran, considering North Korea, and the Twelver Mullah’s are crazier, and really want to take over the world.

     You could also point out to your sister that, unless she moves to another jurisdiction, she is already registered to vote and won’t have to produce anything other than an authorized picture ID, like a driver’s license, to prove who she is.
