    Most are too young to remember; but Ronald introduced Barry Goldwater in his run for President. My first vote for a President. We should have recognized then that the Democrats were not just “loyal opposition;” but actual enemies of America. 60 years ago and we had plenty of warning.

      I do remember that, even though I wasn’t eligible to vote in that election (I was a Goldwater girl though). Reagan was always a very strong speaker.

      I was 12 in 1964, so not a voter yet. But I remember my parents’ bumper sticker on our car: AuH2O’64. I was so proud that I knew the chemical symbol for gold was Au and water was H2O.
