Aww! I think I recognize some of those pups. We had lots of love from three very special a Golden Retrievers, Clancy, Sam, and Katy. Clancy guarded and loved our first son, and looked over all three as they were young and small. Sam was with them in the wild, wild days of boyhood, swimming, running, being a huge and hilarious part of their antics, and Katy, the most alpha dog we ever had help us transition to an empty nest, and later, against her clear wishes, she had to train Riley and Bo, and try to bring them up to her high standards.

Bo was a giant, lumbering Chocolate Lab we rescued. Dumb as an ox. He used to take his big paw and slap Katy on the rump, grinning, and I mean grinning, the whole time, looking at us like “Watch this y’all.” Every time she went for his throat, and she could put him on his back. And he’d still be wearing that doggy grin.

Some of our best memories revolve around the pups, don’t they? Our boys still tell their dog stories sometimes when they get together.

I used to rent from some people in Salt Lake City. When they came to visit the property they would bring their 2chocolate labs. They were not dangerous, just juvenile delinquents. They would run up and down the street joyfully knocking empty trash cans around, stomping flower beds, and rolling around in the grass.
