Good mornin’, Lucille! The 3rd picture is just magnificent. The sheer size is so easy to see! Coffee’s ready, ma’am.

Good morning, Texan. Looks like there’s just a few moments left of morning here in the Pacific time zone.
It’s likely difficult to take an unattractive photo of the Swiss Alps. All three photos are exquisite enlarged. The bottom photo is my wallpaper.
I’ll be bringing some Swiss favorites today…

This is a fun film clip….
Patrick McGoohan (b.1928; d.2009) drum solo in the feature film “All Night Long” (1962), directed by Basil Dearden, co-starring Richard Attenborough, Dave Brubeck. The film is a jazz adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Othello.”
Patrick McGoohan wasn’t pretending to play the drums. In a much later interview for his biography, McGoohan admitted, “I actually played the drums in the film. I learned three pieces for that. It took me four months. Almost drove my family crazy! I had a set of drums in the garage and practised relentlessly.”

Good day, aus! I was having lunch at a favorite small Japanese restaurant in Santa Monica one Saturday in the 80s and McGoohan was there having lunch with a male friend. He was showing his friend a ring he had just purchased for his wife. Wish I’d been close enough to see it. LOL!
The story goes that he was very devoted to his wife and wouldn’t star in any film which required sex scenes. That was the reason he turned down a film offer where he would star as James Bond.

Good mornin’, and happy Friday eve! I haven’t turned on the news yet to find out if it is Road and Power Plant Day or not! But we need coffee. Here’s another bean-to-brew machine where you can DIY your own nectar. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

Not shiny or beautiful, but if it produces a cup of tasty brew, it’s ok with me.

Love reading with real books. I can butcher the English language quite well, so I don’t feel the need to do so with any other language at this time. 😉

It is a little cold and damp for a picnic here today.
I feel for all lost doggies.

Good day, Czarina! Talking like Shakespeare can be taking a chance like Mel Gibson did in “Hamlet.” IMO his take is lovely and real, not stagey….
To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And by opposing end them. To die—to sleep,
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to: ’tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish’d. To die, to sleep;
To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there’s the rub:
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause—there’s the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
Th’oppressor’s wrong, the proud man’s contumely,
The pangs of dispriz’d love, the law’s delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of th’unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovere’d country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience doth make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o’er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action.

Mornin’ All. It dropped into the 40’s yesterday, the wind was blowing hard and a rain storm came in. We actually got some good rain. It got down into the 30’s again last night and kept raining. It is back into the high 40’s. What a year so far.
Have a nice spring day wherever you are.
