    Good mornin’, and happy Friday eve! It’s at least staying above freezing out this way for the last couple of days. Hopefully, it’s gonna stay that way. I found this ceramic coffee pot that honors Lady Liberty, but not a lot of other info this morning. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

    This is not exactly what was top of mind when it came to thinking about the Olympics…………the “crotch-enlarging” scandal. Apparently, this happened a year or so ago, and there is a solution! But here we are. šŸ˜€ šŸ˜€

      Apparently only the medal matters to these twits, not, oh, I donā€™t know, the actual athletic accomplishment of training and winning?

        “If you ain’t cheatin’, you ain’t tryin'” was atrributed to the great Larry Bird. No one knows if he was the original, but I get the gist. You always look for an edge. They’ve been doing it in NASCAR since the 2nd race they ever had. But this is not something we would be reading about (at all) if it weren’t for those fancy computers out there! šŸ˜‰

          My husband being a long, long time fan of NASCAR, I actually thought about the racing stuff before I made that comment T. I categorically disapprove of cheating at anything, but I can almost see that differently, getting an edge on a machine, when the entire race is about mechanical and aerodynamic performance. Still, itā€™s just a loser thing to do.

          Strangely enough, you remember back in school when they told all of us if we cheated we only hurt ourselves? Yeah, I was the kid who believed it. Also, when I was in high school and people used to try to cheat by copying my papers, I would not allow it, even if they got caught. My work was MINE, and I wasnā€™t contributing to the passing grade of some jerk who never cracked a book when I worked my butt off.

          I stupidly thought I was a wild little feminist back then, but I reckon Iā€™ve always just been a stodgy olā€™ conservative.

    I have to say, I think this one is pretty true. I donā€™t know how it is in other parts of the country, but in most neighborhoods down here, including my own, there a multiple little churches within walking distance, most Baptist. And a couple of pretty big ones too. Protestors would not leave these churches without a trip to the ER. I doubt theyā€™d get shot, but for sure beat the ever lovinā€™ hell out of.

      I used to love chocolate fondue. I imagine I still would. No on showering with a friend. I would like to be an optimist, but I’m more of a glass half empty gal. I don’t know about the National Weatherpersons’ Day. They just can’t seem to get it right in this area.

    Mornin’ All. We are back down in the low 30’s and it appears we will stay there for a few days. But, it is pretty sunny. Nice weather.

    Hope things are warming up everywhere else. Keep warm and keep keeping on.
