2025 Christmas With André Rieu, opening weekend – Front Row View
Posted December 8, 2025 by Travel Bee Melissa – Channel Notes: “Once again it’s the most wonderful time of the year. Therefore it’s also time for another year of Christmas With André Rieu. Enjoy the songs with the Johann Strauss Orchestra, Emma Kok, the Platin Tenors and the wonderful Sopranos.”

Good mornin’, and happy Wednesday. Hump day already. We watched about 30 minutes of vintage Trump last night and all I could think of was that it’s about time for 220 Congress-critters and 53 Senators to get up off their *sses and get to work. I found this stainless and teak beauty after that, and hope it calms your nerves like it did mine. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee!

Good mornin! Tex! I totally agree with you on this and thanks for the coffee. I’ve been trying to post on this site but nothing is going through, hopefully this does.

Good mornin’, Miss Wee! That’s a mouthful this early in the morning. But sometimes, it must be said. Help yourself.

Very sleek! Thank you and good morning. We are locked in a system that rewards the Republicans for being useless sh!ts who do nothing. Every single time. And they get by with it.
I know I’m in the minority here, and I completely understand why, but it is my firm opinion that they are only going to get worse after Trump leaves office. The best thing that could have happened, in my opinion, was if Elon Musk had pushed that third party. Republicans are useless and unsalvageable. Time and again we reward them and they screw us.

I know a teacher who constantly says “I seen.” I am already predisposed against her alma mater, located in Knoxville, and this clinches it.
My gripe is this. Reading even a moderate amount, and paying attention as people speak, teaches us these things. You don’t have to remember the grammar behind it. It is my opinion that people improve their spoken and written grammar and communication skills a lot if they just read. Even more if the read really good books.

For some reason, “I seen” is very popular in the midwest where I grew up. I’m no rocket surgeon, but that is nails on the chalkboard to me.

Morning Menagerie! I agree. Reading is the key.

Good one Wee! As you all may know, inability to use the present perfect tense of see is a stroke inducer for me.

Mornin’ Menage! “I seen” was one of my mom’s serious pet peeves – worth a beatin’, it was, and I’ve got a brother that could tell ya about it!

Good day to you, Czarina! Sorta meager offerings on national days today. Probably in the 5th or 6th grade we studied how the Dewey Decimal System works; but I don’t remember any of it. And I also can’t remember ever drinking lager.
However, there are some “today in history” items of interest found at History.com….
In 1869, Wyoming territorial legislators passed a bill granting women the right to vote. Rumor is fairly well founded that they wanted more women in the state and figured that would be a good reason for them to move to the wilderness and meet up with the lonely males of the region.
In 1967, Otis Redding died in a plane crash just outside Madison, Wisconsin
“When Redding left his final recording session in Memphis, he intended to return soon to the song he’d been working on—“Sittin’ On The Dock Of The Bay.” He still had to replace a whistled verse thrown in as a placeholder with additional lyrics that he’d yet to write. In the meantime, however, there was a television appearance to make in Cleveland, followed by a concert in Madison, Wisconsin. And so he boarded the fateful flight.”

Visiting my sister in Charlottesville VA for two weeks. Snowed three inches the first night. High today here will be 32*. In NO it will be 70*.
