Good morning, Texan! Though I’ve never experienced a New York-style Black Friday, it could get pretty crowded in Los Angeles. Nonetheless, in the good old days BF was always a shopping day + December 26th to buy items for the next Christmas.

Good mornin’, and happy Friday! I have awoken from my food coma once again. I brought out a heavy duty coffee machine as I figured we needed a lot more coffee than breakfast food this morning. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

Truth! The older one told me later that he had not realized how exhausting it is. They did a great job on the cooking, but their cleanup skills could use work. DD and SIL helped with that.

Well, the younger one is in culinary school now, so you never can tell. The turkey was perfectly cooked, btw. We spatchcocked and dry brined this year.

Afternoon all. It started snowing yesterday afternoon and snowed all night. So we now have 6 or 8 inches of snow and everything looks really pretty. Loki wasn’t too happy because the snow is soft and all the way up to her belly. It made her come in faster. LOL.
I was at my son’s and left before it was getting dark, about 4:15. Of course, it had been overcast all day and so was really going to get dark fast. I am glad I have working heaters. My apartment was toasty warm when I got home. It was snowing while we had Thanksgiving dinner. That was really nice.
I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving and can rest up a while today. 🙂
