Day TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-SIX of Presidential recovery
Victory over Japan Day (VJ Day) commemorates the surrender of Japan to the Allied forces, effectively ending World War II.
The surrender was formally accepted on 2 September 1945 aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay, a date officially commemorated as VJ Day by the United States.

Wee! Last week I peopled 7 days straight, Monday-Sunday. Yesterday I mostly hibernated.
Actually, to tell the truth, we had lots of great family and friends parties, park days, pot lucks, etc. since Friday. Not ready for a school week to begin!

Just read this “self help” blurb.
Control is the polished mask worn by fear. It looks like competence, but it’s actually the mind’s way of protecting a precariously fragile ego.
No wonder younger generations have so much anxiety. Good grief. In my opinion, control has everything to do with the ability to deal with bad situations. That’s just a there, there, pat yourself on the back if you’re weak platitude.

What a crock of caca. Control is mastery of a task or craft. Control is attained by repetition of that task or craft to such a degree that regardless of what obstacle might appear, you fall back to a place that is commensurate with your skill level. Little skill, little control. Lots of skill, lots of control.

National Another Look Unlimited Day – Are you feeling green? Has stuff piled up around the house since Spring cleaning time? This observance is a day dedicated to taking a look around your home and ridding it of the excess things you have accumulated. Think Spring cleaning meets Fall cleaning.
It’s time to clear out the closets. Purge the attic. Donate toys and clothes. Tidy up, clean up and put to use those items that have a purpose!

Good day, Czarina! Another Look Unlimited Day is what I’ve already been doing. Still slimming down my possessions. My nephew and wife will be visiting on the 17th and staying for maybe four days. The guest room when no one visits is a storeroom full to the gills including empty large boxes I simply can’t throw out; I’m obsessive about them…LOL! With Little Gee gone now and the fact I will not be getting any more cats or small dogs, I’m sorting out all his things, too. Hopefully my nephew can use some of it for his feline.

Still working on mine. I am almost to the point where I am contemplating just taking a whole box and throwing it in the trash without going through it. If I go through it I find things I should keep and have to find a place for them,

Good day, aus! I have boxes now sitting in my living room which are ready for relatives. Plus I always keep a large box for items to donate to the local animal shelter thrift shop.
The only things I didn’t box up were Gee’s beds and blankets. I’m not going to wash something just to give it away. So in the trash they went.

Well, afternoon all. Got up late again today. It is a beautiful day and the temp is perfect so far. It was cool last night and may get up into the high 80’s today. Problem is, it doesn’t cool off until about 4:00 in the AM. But, I shouldn’t complain.
