Stellars….
…and you can dream of lovely Kauai with its Hawaiian scenery…
…or Lord Howe Island, Australia in the Tasman Sea…
…or actually visit personally the black sands of Taharuu Beach, Tahiti Nui, French Polynesia…
Have a wonderful time!

I keep some cold in the fridge just in case. May not be as comforting as warm, but it has other coffee qualities .

Mornin’ All. The forecast says it is partly cloudy, but here it is totally overcast and dampish. They are forecasting rain/snow tomorrow all day. It is supposed to be down below 30*. We’ll see.

“The Fake (and real) History of Potato Chips” from Tasting History With Max Miller….
I’m pretty sure Laura Scudder’s was the first potato chip my family bought. Here’s a brief history of the company up until Laura Scudder sold it….
Laura Clough Scudder is one of the legends of Potato Chips and Crisps. And this is why she became known as the ‘Potato Chip Queen’…
Born in Philadelphia, Laura Scudder worked as a nurse and studied law, before moving to California to become an attorney. She was one of very few female Californian attorneys. That was not enough trail-blazing for Laura, however.
After moving to Monterey Park, California, she started her food company, Laura Scudder’s, in 1926. At that time Potato Chips were packaged in barrels or tins. To overcome the problem of stale Chips, Laura asked her employees to take home wax paper sheets to iron into the form of bags, which were then filled with Chips at her factory the next day. This imaginative innovation maintained fresh Chips and kept them crisp longer. And, along with the invention of cellophane, allowed Potato Chips to become a mass market product.
Another Scudder innovation was dated bags. Laura Scudder’s was the first Potato Chips or Crisps company to include freshness dates on its food packaging. This was accompanied by the marketing slogan: “Laura Scudder’s Potato Chips, the Noisiest Chips in the World.”
In the early 1950s is it alleged that Laura Scudder turned down a $9million offer for her now nationally successful company, because the buyer refused to guarantee her employees’ jobs. In 1957 she accepted a $6 million offer, from a buyer who did. Having dedicated her life to her enterprise, Laura Scudder died two years after relinquishing her company. – chipsandcrisps.com

Have you seen this story? Seems almost unbelievable, as even the police said, but it is true.
The 32-year old man was 5’9″ tall and 68 pounds when he was rescued!

Wonderfully written intellectual expose of the ridiculousness of the leftie European Union and their lackeys living in LaLa Land without the slightest inkling of how to govern….
Spring’s Frightful Awakening
By James Howard Kunstler – March 14, 2025
“The notion that Europe is able to pose a military threat to Russia does not even qualify as trashy propaganda for sub-zero IQs.” — Pepe Escobar
“The left became hideously, ostentatiously, unapologetically corrupt (as ruling parties tend to do). They sold out bigtime and got bigtime rich. You want to know why none of them want to cut waste anymore? Because they’re the ones stealing it.” — El Gato Malo on Substack
