McDonald’s on Signal Hill, Long Beach, CA, the site of a huge oil field discovered in 1919. McDonald’s is the first restaurant where I discovered French fries in the 1950s.

Good morning, Texan! In case anyone is wondering, YES, if you discover oil on your privately-owned property it is yours. Found this answer on Quora:

Can you produce oil as a private person, not as a company?

The answer in the US is yes. I have, as have thousands of other private individuals.

“No state or Federal laws prohibit an individual from engaging in the oil business, and when the risks and the amount of investment required are low enough, individuals do. Shallow wells in the US are cheap (tens of thousands, to a few hundred thousand dollars) and the geology is so well known that risk of accident and geological risk are both low. In addition, markets for natural gas and oil are well developed and competitive. One need only provide the oil or gas buyer with well data for state record keeping and tax purposes.

“However, most places in the world the legal risk and financial investment required are such that an individual would wish to utilize an LLC to insulate himself from liability, or form a public corporation to sell shares in order to both limit liability and raise the required capital.”

So, if there’s an itty bitty spot in your backyard that looks like it just might be oil, dig away!

Good mornin’, and Happy Friday kids! I’m going with one of our classics. My mood today is somewhat “steampunk”, so I think this all-in-one roaster, grinder, coffee maker copper model fits the bill. We can make coffee all day long! Just in case you might have to “people” today. Carpe your coffee!

For those who still don’t think there’s a swamp, or deep state, I submit Exhibit I. Liz Cheney, will vote for Cankles and Lumpy over someone who creates jobs and helps people keep money in their pockets. TDS runs deep with these people.

This is the craziest thing I’ve seen on the interwebz today. A picture of Tucker Carlson with Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. Tucker’s little brother is in the back right. Tucker’s dad had been a reporter in SanFran in the 60’s and interviewed them a couple times.
