Good mornin’, kids! It’s Friday eve, and I’m pretty sure we’re going to see something this evening that we’ve never seen before. So, we’ll have her working overtime, because we’re going to need it.

Apparently, they do make a coffee machine in prison orange………..who knew! ;)

This warms my heart a bit. With three major players opting to run for the late Broomhilda’s empty CA Senate seat, that meant that two of them for sure would not be returning to the Swamp in Congress in the fall. Here’s a bit of an obituary on the nasty Katie Porter, who was apparently giving Sheila Jackson Lee a run for her money as worst boss in Congress. Boo-Freaking-Hoo!

Do y’all remember when we were preached to for years and years that recycling was going to save the planet………..me too. Guess what…….they lied to us. I know that you’re all shocked to hear that.

About the only things worth recycling are aluminum cans and paper. Sometimes glass.

It really pays to call your local recycling plant or read their website.

What is actually recycled varies. And as Czarina learned, there are other organizations that recycle items independently.

The only plastic that seems to be readily recyclable is No. 1 plastic with a screw cap. They request that you leave the caps on water bottles.

There is only one glass recycling plant left in the United States, unless things have changed.

Brown cardboard, glass, aluminum, and sometimes, paper are recycled, but cardboard and paper decline in quality, whereas aluminum and glass are more durable.

When China refused to accept our recycling, it hit the industry hard. They were forced to deal with their own garbage.

Back in the 90’s my parents lived in Florida. They had to separate the trash and recycling and my parents did. Then, a reporter did a story on the recycling, and the recycling truck that came around after the trash truck took the recycling to the same dump as the trash. My father was livid.

By all means. Neat and clean, few things are more attractive, provided they’re not Hollywood cowboys (unless you’re Tom Selleck…who, btw, is incredibly handsome in person. First time any of us casting coordinators saw him was when he came in for a part on “Adam 12” which was pre-“Magnum.” We females were sitting with our mouths open in awe. LOL! After he left I went to the casting director and asked, “WHO was that!” About a year later I was going over to one of the sound stages and he was heading the same direction. We walked the couple blocks together and he was a real sweetie…a good man who seemed easy going and even humble. He’s a Republican, too!).

Check out the “Memories Are Forever” 2-part episode of MAGNUM, P.I. where on a yacht in Hawaii Magnum thinks he fleetingly sees his supposedly-dead French Vietnamese wife, played by the beautiful Panamanian actress Marta DuBois….

Marta DuBois was a really lovely person, too. Passed away now. I remember a TV interview program I think on EWTN where she joined Jim Caviezel (remember him in “The Passion Of the Christ”) and their conversation was so inspiring. Very devout Christians, both of them.

Remember Andy Warhol’s quote, “In the future everyone will be famous for 15 minutes”. Looks like a lot of the woke and crazy ideas are out of time.

Mrs. McKim, my 12th grade US Government and Economics teacher taught us about how the pendulum swings side to side from one extreme to the other, but spends most of the time in acceptable territory. To the sorrow of the liberals, etc., it looks like sanity is returning. Mostly because the majority of people are out of patience with being bullied and don’t have time in their lives for the nonsense.

Candace Owens apologizes to Muslims for post-9/11 treatment, claims she was taught all Muslims were terrorists

MAR 6, 2024 12:30 PM BY ROBERT SPENCER

She claims that it was beaten into students (figuratively!) every day that “every Muslim was a terrorist.” When and where did this happen? It wasn’t even a week after 9/11 that George W. Bush went to a mosque in Washington and declared that “Islam is peace.” The media inundated us after 9/11 with material about how Muslims condemned 9/11 and were being victimized by counterterror measures.

Those of us who dared to note that Islamic texts and teachings contained justifications for violence against unbelievers, which is a readily provable fact, were put in the position of constantly having to affirm that not all Muslims were terrorists, and nevertheless were constantly accused of saying this, despite never having said it. We were excoriated, deplatformed, and marginalized as “Islamophobes” anyway, while groups with demonstrable links to jihadis gained regular establishment media access and wide influence among government and law enforcement officials. No one beyond a few nuts was actually claiming that every Muslim was a terrorist.

Candace Owens is here repeating talking points that Islamic groups such as the Hamas-linkedCouncil on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) perfected in the years following 9/11 in order to stymie and silence those who spoke the truth about the motives and goals of jihad terrorists. I very seriously doubt that she could document her claims here with any actual evidence whatsoever.

Afternoon All. It is 20* and sunny here. An absolutely beautiful day. I went out yesterday and started my car since I hadn’t used it in a month and it started right up. I just find that so amazing.

My DIL and new grandson have a cold, so I guess I won’t go over there tomorrow. I just got over a cold myself. I never had colds in Florida, but then, I was not around children at all down there. I am still happier here. :)

Hope all of you are staying well.
