While I’m not Catholic, it sure does seem that the current Pope doesn’t care too much for some of his flock here in the States. A Cardinal is getting his wings clipped now for wanting to retains some tradition it seems.

Anyone else watch the catfight last night between Shorty and Hair-Gel? Hannity had no more control of those two than Dana Perino did over 7-8 of ’em. Anyway, here are some thoughts from one who has lived under The Benevolent Dictator of Cali. She wasn’t impressed with his fancy wordsmithing.

The Biden of Cali…no doubt about it! It’s been 15 years since we escaped; the rest of our family including kids have stayed for some masochistic reason.

I am not giving up some of the little time I’ve got left to political debates, but I sure have had fun reading replies to Newsome on Twitter this morning.

Good morning! Raining here. We started the a.m. with Tucker getting muddy footprints all over the kitchen floor.

Mornin’ All. Woke up at 4:30 this morning and couldn’t go back to sleep. So, I finally got up at 7:00. Loki wasn’t ready to get up, I could tell. She finally came out, but just moped along to the living room instead of doing her zoomies.

I had started snowing a little late yesterday evening. There is now about 2 inches of snow on the ground. I am sure glad I put the windshield cover on my car so I don’t have to chip ice off the windshield. Guess we are probably going to have a white Christmas. Glad I got my snow tires on. 🙂

    Hope you all stay warm.

Interesting combo of national days. Yes to red apples and pies. No to faux fur unless you have the moolah to buy the absolute best.

Antartica Day can be celebrated viewing “The Last Place On Earth”, the story of the race to the South Pole starring Martin Shaw as Scott of England and Sverre Anker Ousdal as Amundsen of Norway who plants the Norwegian flag at the pole on December 14, 1911. The acting is superb, the script excellent, the settings in various snow countries are marvelous. I was mesmerized by this 1985 7-part Brit series. And you get to see Hugh Grant playing a bit part before he came to fame.

As for National Bartender Day, here’s Frankie’s masterful tribute…

Speaking of Tucker’s muddy pawprints on the kitchen floor this morning, I have a Swiffer WetJet that stopped working. I have a washable pad for it, and really like to use it for quick cleanups like the one this morning.

For some reason, it never occurred to me that the WetJet has batteries! I looked it up on YouTube, and gosh darn it, that is all it was. I replaced the four AA batteries, and it is working again.

Uh-oh! Jussie might be heading to the big house for a bit. He just lost his primary appeal. He can appeal to the IL Supreme Court, but they are not required to hear it if they choose not to. I’m all broke up about it!!! 😀 😀 😀
