Unite & Build – coalitions for success?

Just watched a Russell Brand video about how conservatives are more likely to engage with those on the left who have goals in common with them, even though that are not aligned on every issue, in order to fight against government authoritarianism. That’s why he has been appearing with Tucker Carlson, Ben Shapiro, and others.

Russell is hard to watch/listen to (you might want to slow down the playback speed.) I’ll post it below, if you are interested.

I love Russel Brand. As a slowwwww talking Southerner, I’m fascinated with how he can speak, but I also love what he says. And the enthusiasm!

Exhausting! So information and idea dense I had to stop every so often to process. The trouble with what he’s doing is he overloads the listener, gives ideas one can hardly disagree with, then declares victory. The depth is missing and his rushed, don’t interrupt me style keeps discussion from occurring. I’d prefer more give and take and some engagement with people who can argue at his intellectual level from the other side.
