Stellars, welcome to a late autumn Sunday in sunnier climes….

    Tenerife, Canary Islands…

    Key West, Florida…

    Bonaire, Leeward Antilles…

And to the Maui west coast for a sunset view…

Hello, Stella! Yes, it remains the worst airplane accident in history. I did research on that horrific crash…ran off copies of everything I could find on the Internet back in the early 2000s. A long series of events…from the terrorist attack on another island causing way too many planes to land on Tenerife which had only ONE runway, through the arrogance of the KLM captain, to the fog which came onto the island quickly so no one could see, miscalculations of all kinds on the parts of both airlines (Pan Am was the other airline)…that if even one had not happened, everyone would have been spared. All preventable.

One of the stewardesses on the KLM flight decided to stay on the island to be with her boyfriend and she’s the only person who did not die on that flight. She had tremendous survivors guilt.

    Remember Light
    Eternal light, light and law
Light they shine in the dark
Freedom will flood everything with light
And Light shines out of darkness
    Remember death
    Remember to live
The day is so dark as the night
    Remember to see
    Remember the light.

“In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. He was with God in the very beginning. Through him all things came into existence, and without him there was nothing.
That which came to be, found life in him,
and the life was the light of the human race. The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has been unable to overcome it.” – John 1:1-5 (NCB)

An excellent website, biblegateway.com, has numerous Bible translations listed. I just discovered the “New Catholic Bible” (© 2019) which is easy to read plus it has extensive notes regarding various passages. Very impressive.

“Jesus addressed them once again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. The one who follows me will never walk in darkness. Rather, he will have the light of life’.” – John 8:12 (NCB)

Yeah, but……….Time Magazine starts contorting itself to say the new Minority Leader in the House is not an “election-denier”…gasp/clutch pearls, etc. Remember…..if it weren’t for double standards, the libs would have no standards at all. 😉

Mornin All. I thought it was a little warmer today. I thought it was 8*, but I was mistaken. It was actually 0*. I just couldn’t see the thermometer very well. LOL
I am busy getting ready for my family to come after church. My DIL messaged me that her parents can’t come because there is a problem with their dogs. Last time they missed dinner at a neighbor’s house because one of their dogs ate her heavy vest and ingested it. She started throwing up and kept on until late that night. It could have killed her.

At least I don’t think I have to worry about that. Loki doesn’t seem to have a penchant for eating weird things and would have trouble, anyway, with no teeth.

Well, time’s a’wastin’. Still have a few things to do.

    Everybody had a good day.

Hi mom! Tucker is one of those dogs who eats inappropriate things, unfortunately, and has to be watched.

Many years ago we had a neighbor who had a dog a little small than Tucker, I think. She noticed one day that the wool army blanket she had put in his dog house was getting smaller. She saw her dog out the window trying to take a poop. It went on and on and finally she went out and saw a big thing sticking out his pooper. She took a piece of newspaper and pulled it out. It was the piece of blanket. He had swallowed the 12″ square piece. Wonder it didn’t kill him.

Tucker has swallowed several unusual things. He ate two of my silicone keyboard covers. Fortunately, they eventually came back up. By eventually, I mean a couple of days. He also ate a knit fingerless glove and part of a brand new and expensive sock (came back the same way). Usually paper napkins and kleenex go all the way through.

My dad pulled more than one rump-roast butcher string out of our dogs; grabbed with pliers then told someone to call the dog. Yelp! Done!!
Then there was the rottie that ate a partial bottle of Gorilla Glue. He actually survived…after multi-thousand $$ surgery on his stomach lining. Gorilla Glue is water-activated, and very effective.

His not being charged/jailed yet might have something to do with their fear of him. He’s the wimp type who would do anything to stay out of jail and the media plus his Dem pals want to keep him free so he won’t spill every ounce of beans he knows. That’ll give them more time to off him in an “accident” or alleged robbery where he gets dispatched but his money and valuables remain on the body ala Seth Rich.

Global Warming? Northern Hemisphere Snow Cover At 56-Year High
    By TYLER DURDEN – December 03, 2022

The COP27 climate change conference wrapped up last month. World leaders flew in private jets to Egypt to discuss how fossil fuels were quickly heating the planet to the point of no return, as humanity was doomed if crucial climate change policies weren’t implemented. But while the climate alarmist leaders met in the desert, November’s snowfall across the Northern Hemisphere was running at rates exceeding a half-a-century average.

This is another family that I watch on YouTube. Not only do they do a yearly gift and fund raiser every year for pediatric cancer patients and their families, they just won a year’s worth of groceries from Safeway, and are giving it to families in their neighborhood who need it more than they do.

    Lucille, they live in Idaho!

Thanks for posting the beautiful video, Stella. Very touching! Btw, the first Safeway store was in Idaho.

The family’s address is in Bonners Ferry which is close to the Canadian border. It’s a very lovely area and sparsely populated. I’ve been through there several times.
