Good morning, WeeWeed! I think the property with the red barn would be ideal to start a horse rescue operation; so I’m moving there ASAP.

Last day of my trip to the mountains to see the leaves. Went to Savannah (no colorful foliage but a great, walkable city!), then Helen, GA for Oktoberfest (kitschy but reasonably authentic) , drove beautiful parkways into and out of Helen and into Chattanooga. But it will be good to go home.

What a lovely trip for you, czarina! No alligators, though, which I’m sure you missed.

I do this with just a circle cut into the bread (with a doughnut cutter or kitchen glass) in a regular frying pan. I ain’t so fancy…

Looks good! I have a new grill pan. Might try it.

It’s easier to flip in a flat surface, I think.

I do a thing in a regular frying pan (small one), where I cook veg (think sliced potatoes, onions, mushrooms. Cook, then top with eggs. Cover to cook egg all the way through.

For those who think men and women are the same… why is there such a thing as “sex change” operations and hormonal treatment?

Mornin’ All. I was shocked to see that it is 57* out at 9:00 this morning. It was all wet out, so I guessed it rained (misted) last night. We took our walk anyway. I have a raincoat and a little coat for Loki. It isn’t actually a rain coat, but it helps to keep her fur dry.
My welcome mat was gone this morning. I am trying to remember if I saw it when I took Loki out last night before we went to bed. It is one of those rough straw like mats that said “Home” on it, I think. I can’t imagine anyone taking it. I wondered if it blew away, but I didn’t see it anywhere. I am going to put my name on all outside things, so I can reclaim them if I get the chance.
The guy came by yesterday and helped me put the mirrors back on my dressing table that is in the bathroom. It looks really cute now. He also hung up a shelf that has a bar to hang a quilt on. I am glad he did it because I don’t have to worry about it falling off the wall now.
Also, I have noticed that the heater in the living room pretty much heats the whole apartment. It blows down the hallway so those two rooms don’t get too terrible cold. I am waiting to see how much my electric bill is going to go up now that it is running.
Well, all of you have a nice day.

Good morning, aus! It’s a rainy 50 degrees now and will get one degree “hotter” as the high. The day’s highlights include a Walmart perishables delivery and a UPS delivery of a cast iron cat figurine (yes, I’m supposed to be downsizing, but…well, I just wanted it). Plus I had to put a sign on my carport space since someone has been parking there without my permission…annoying!
Presently, while typing this I’m listening to a CD entitled “Spa” by Canadian composer Hennie Bekker, hoping to gain a sense of calm thinking of the next two+ weeks of predicted rain…

Cast iron cat figurine could make an effective PD weapon, Lucille. Provided you could lift it 😉
On second thought, would be good upper body strengthener as well!

It’s not that heavy. I’m trying to visualize wrapping my stiff fingers around it and punching some miscreant. LOL!

The whole CD is very peaceful and calming. It sort of reminds me of film composer John Barry’s music.

It has now dropped to 47* here. Weird.

We just dropped to 45 degrees and the rain is smacking my windows. Hope it rains hard enough to clean off the dust…LOL!

:0) I just skittered into Stella’s place to make a comment on my observations of the rain and dust and find I’m not the only one.
The rain that you and aus have been experiencing has finally meandered our way. It’s the first rain we’ve seen in months and although the rain has only started, it has done an amazing job of cleaning the dust from the side of my house and the grass in the yard….
Stay warm and stay dry Lucille…:0)

Thanks, litenmaus! It’s supposed to be rainy today, 22nd, but it’s dry so far. More rain is on the way, though; and I think I’ll put a couple of porch items out to get a good washing.

:0) Excellent idea to put those items out for washing….

Was President Trump Set Up by His Own Attorneys When They Told Him to Choose Judge Dearie as Special Master?
By Joe Hoft – Published October 20, 2022 at 6:00pm
The judge performing the duties of Special Master in the Trump case with the FBI has a very checkered past, why was he ever selected for this role by the Trump team?
The New York Post wrote about Judge Raymond Dearie when he was announced as special master in the case involving the FBI’s unnecessary, unprecedented and unlawful raid on President Trump’s iconic property, Mar-a-Lago….
