MAID = Medical Assistance in Dying. And Viva Frei is right to point this out.
According to Canadian government statistics released by the Minister of Health:
- In 2021, there were 10,064 MAID provisions reported in Canada, accounting for 3.3% of all deaths in Canada.
- The number of cases of MAID in 2021 represents a growth rate of 32.4% over 2020. All provinces continue to experience a steady year over year growth.
- When all data sources are considered, the total number of medically assisted deaths reported in Canada since the Parliament of Canada passed federal legislation that allows eligible Canadian adults to request medical assistance in dying in 2016 is 31,664.

It is already the law in seven states, but I think it can only be passed at the state level in the U.S.

If it were a federal option, Biden’s handlers would already have put in place; or Obama would have included it in the Unaffordable Care Act.

Those in my family who have dual citizenship have long thought if Canada were to become a dictatorship they could always move to the U.S. Now they’re not so sure that’d be much better. Plus leaving their grown children and grandchildren (ages 18 down to 1 year) behind would be near-on impossible emotionally.
Nineteen days until November 8! The Republicans MUST win the House and the Senate so we can nullify/repeal much of what Bidenhandler has done.
