Shadow Of the Bear, Cashiers, NC – Annual natural phenomenon off Highway 64 which starts with a small dark shadow at the valley bottom then gradually becomes the bear that appears for 30 minutes at 5:30 pm mid-October through early November.

Starlink communications problems reported in Ukraine. Elon Musk provides Starlink communications to Ukrainians. Now, with global toes hanging over precipice of nuclear Armageddon, Elon Musk suggested political resolution. To which the weakly educated Ukrainian thugs responded with verbal attacks on Musk.
Mr T-shirt Zelensky, the actor hired to pretend to be leader of Ukraine, even calls for first strike war on Russia. Which of course would mean full/scale nuclear combat with hydrogen bombs, EMP galore. Gigacide. Followed by Road Warrior and World War IV of sticks and stones, as one wise man predicted.
Maybe the thug Ukrainians don’t realize their gangsterism has limits and their gangster words bring lethal consequences.
Ukrainians publicly abused their Patron Saint of Communications, Elon Musk. Musk can shut them down with a mouse click. Gangsters must learn table manners. Zelensky calling for nuclear war.
With ‘allies’ like this, Putin maybe has a point after all.

Good mornin’. I checked in on the wrong post this morning. I am watching Fox and Friends and they just had Sheriff Grady Judd on. He was talking about the looting and said that if someone breaks into your home, you shoot them until they look like grated cheese. Yikes! People may not like how direct he is, but when BLM came into the county to protest, he chase them out. Well, he didn’t chase them out, he let them protest in the right way in the right place. When they headed for I4 to block the freeway, he told them to leave. When they asked what he was going to do about it if they didn’t, he said, “We will shoot you.” And, they left. I don’t care how crude and direct he might sound. He keeps the county pretty safe.

Is the sheriff from Florida which has a stand-your-ground law? Because many states have long-standing laws that once criminals are down and disabled, victims cannot stand over or near them and start firing again. A gun owner better be very well versed in his state’s laws re self-defense, stand-your-ground or castle doctrine laws or he might be the one ending up in jail.

Well, Florida does have a stand your ground law. I just always figured if I shot someone who broke in, he was safe as long as he didn’t try to stand up. I have to check on Montana law.

Good day, Stella! It’s funny but I can remember my family phone number from when I was in 4th grade. It didn’t have an area code or a prefix, just 5 numbers and it was a 3-party line.
On my own, I’ve had 14 different residences and I don’t remember any of the phone numbers except for the L.A. house I lived in for 30 years. No idea of numbers in Vancouver, WA or Canada and they were the most recent until I moved to Idaho. Even now when without warning someone in a doctor’s office asks for my present land-line number (I don’t use a cell phone), most often I have to stop and think.
