Fall is really here!

It’s 48 degrees in my neighborhood right now! I closed the windows and turned on the heat. Yes, it’s really here.

High 50’s on the morning, low 80’s around 2:00. Relentlessly sunny and dry. Grass looks awful. But, no hurricanes around is always good.

Mornin’ All. It was 54* this morning, crisp and very sunny. I just can’t get over how bright the sun is here. Got all the boxes open now, just have to find places to put everything. I can’t believe it takes os long to unpack. Hope everyone stays warm and has a nice day.

Fifty three here and a high of 58 for today. Time for the crazies to come out for the Fall colors! They’re almost as bad as school buses that stop at every house on the route. You know, stop here, go down 4 houses stop again, then rinse and repeat. When I was in school, we had a bus stop at every half mile or so. What is wild, is I see about 20 cars waiting for the bus at each stop. All of them are idling BTW. I ask why don’t they just drive the couple blocks to pick them up instead of creating 4-5 minute stops for those buses. Where I live the kids are loaded on the bus and a quarter mile down the road, they get off! Such a waste of resources. I used to have the patience of Job, but now I talk to myself. It gets old driving what normally takes 8-10 minutes into a half hour. Ya try to get around that by going different routes, but you just run into different buses. frustrating! Funny how school buses only apply to public schools, not the private schools. Just trying to connect dots here. Before my dad passed on I had mentioned that I had never been given the opportunity to a school bus when I had to walk a mile or so to school, his response was it builds character, LOL. I see a lot of that missing in today’s kids. Until my middle- later teens, I was always told kids should be seen and not heard. I’ll prolly get raked over the coals for this, but I see a big difference between when I was young and today’s youth.
