Beautiful church! Morning all, we have cold weather again, in the 30’s. It was in the low 70’s over the weekend, but we’ve dropped back down now, and thunderstorms are coming for the weekend.
I did some Christmas shopping over the weekend, probably more today. My husband just told me his company is giving them money for the turkey instead of an actual turkey this year. They can’t find anyone who can supply the birds.
My grandchildren are happy and excited, thrilled with the season. The youngest one called me last night to schedule a cookie making night, which I had planned to skip this year. Guess who couldn’t say no? He wanted to come over right then, and when I told him I didn’t have the ingredients he tried to send his grandfather to the store. So, in a week or so I’ll have a kitchen full of kids and icing. One of my most favorite things about our house is a huge three sided bar where they can all have a place to decorate their treats.
No matter how bad things in the world get, Christmas season is still magical, and kids make it better yet. I have a picture of me as a young mom propped up on the couch with a cup of coffee, our huge, beautiful first Golden Retriever by my side, watching the boys on bicycles, with mounds of wrapping paper covering the floor. Those are the best memories. And the dog in the picture is as fine a memory as the kids.

Morning Menage! We have been having very cold nights lately, and gray skies. Looking to have some snow today, so the temps are a bit more moderate.
Sounds like you have some fun times ahead with your grandchildren. I am happy to say that my family will be with me here this year, so I am especially looking forward to the festivities.

They are both good cooks now, and help a lot with meal preparation. The younger one wants to become either a baker or a chef. His hobby is making knives.
I can’t believe that James is graduating from college this coming June, and Milo from high school.

Mornin’ everyone else. Well, there sky here is completely white, like when it is going to snow. I don’t think it will, however, because it was 71* at 8:00 this morning. 🙄 It is kinda pleasant but very humid. This jerk set the FOX tree on fire yesterday. Security caught him and gave him to the police, but he was out right away. I think they said it cost half a million dollars to build the tree, but FOX is going to rebuild it. I am torn between thinking they could put that money to good use and thinking it is a good thing to rebuild something that has been destroyed by these hateful people. Hopefully no tornadoes are in your day today..

Remember, rebuilding means work for the laborers, and the materials are purchased from suppliers and manufacturers and delivered by other workers. Nice that FOX can spread the money around that way. Bad that the perpetrator got off.
