Good morning everyone. Supposed to be 72 here today, then temps start dropping again, into the 20’s next week supposedly. Not looking forward to that. We do not often have that happen in fall. Actually, praise God, we don’t have it happen a lot around here period.
A man’s soul is as full of voices as a forest; there are ten thousand tongues there like all the tongues of the trees: fancies, follies, memories, madnesses, mysterious fears, and more mysterious hopes. All sanity in life consists in coming to the conclusion that some of those voices have authority and others do not.
—G. K. Chesterton

You know, when we moved up North, my son was about 8 and we had to yell at him not to touch the radiator when he started to because he had never seen one before and didn’t know it would be hot.

I suppose you could heat up just about anything in that. Handy.

And, you could prolly keep a pot warm on top!

Many years ago I lived in a house with an oil heater, and sometimes would cook things (like chili or soup) on it. I know people with wood stoves do the same, so I suppose this is something like that.

Nobody in Miami had anything like a heater or radiator…..

Well, we were in Central FL and we had a wall heater in the hallway. It did a good job of heating up the hallway. Mama turned it off at night, we had jalusy (don’t remember how to spell that) windows, and no insulation in the walls. It could get pretty cold in the house when the temps were down in the 30’s. I used to think I would never warm up. No wonder I couldn’t understand how people lived up North.

Good morning to all! It’s overcast and about 60 degrees today; supposed to start raining late this afternoon.
I have an appointment with the cardiologist this afternoon. Just routine, but I still am not looking forward to it.

Back from the cardiologist. All looks good. Someone in the waiting room just got out of the hospital, and told me that it is chaos at the hospital. Emergency room jammed, treating patients in the hallways, only one nurse for 50 patients. Asked my doctor about it. He says it is a rise in Covid cases.

So glad you are well! The hospital situation sounds ugly. Hopefully mandates will be overturned before our entire health care system collapses.

It really depresses me that we’ll not even get the same care our grandparents got (all those years ago.) Now, they just want to off us.
