My father planted a hibiscus just that color near our front door in Miami. I miss having hibiscus outside, but they freeze here in the winter. Tried keeping them in pots, but they got too big.

It’s a beautiful color and not one I’ve seen in person. This canna would look nice planted near the hibiscus…

It’s called a “blueberry sparkler”…love the leaf color.

I’m liking watching FOX and FRIENDS a little more this morning. All the news so far is about Gen. Flynn. The GOOD news about Gen. Flynn.

I still haven’t gotten my stimulus money. I finally went on the IRS website and filled in the info. But, I really shouldn’t have needed to.

Nice weekend trip once California opens up again…….

Smith River, Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, east of Crescent City, CA and approx. 15 miles from the Oregon border…
    EXPLORE.ORG

Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park is the last in a long string of redwood parks that stretch up Northern California’s coast. A few miles inland from the ocean, the park is densely forested with huge ancient trees. In fact, it contains seven percent of all the old-growth redwoods left in the world. No roads or trails mark “Jed Smith’s” core—just pure, primeval majesty.

The park was named for Jedediah Strong Smith, who in the 1820s became the first white man to explore the interior of northern California. The park was established in 1929 with a small parcel donated to Save the Redwoods League by the family of lumberman Frank Stout. (http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=413)
