    Clarice Feldman: They [Democrat Congress] can’t legislate–anything they come up with will cost them 30% of their wacky base of conflicting interests.

    Think about it:The old CIO unions are in conflict with the greenies and both are sources of big $$ for the party; the teachers unions’ interests are at odds with the wishes of the inner city minorities who want school choice; the minorities are also opposed to open borders but the left wants open borders to change the demographics and votes of the nation.

      People who want lower taxes and less govt intrusion are at odds with the public employees unions. Go down the list. For a long time the Dems party has been made up of blocs of conflicting interests..Smooth tongued Clinton was able to paper over this.

      They need women votes and most–probably 7O% of them per Alex Bensky oppose late term abortions, but they need the money and ground workers PP gives them.

      These conflicts probably go a far way at explaining why they can’t come up with a budget proposal.
