Virus-hit Wuhan has two laboratories linked to Chinese bio-warfare program

Long before the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus that has so far killed 25 people in China, scientists spoke of their fears about a new laboratory being built to study some of the world’s most dangerous viruses.

In this photo released by China’s Xinhua News Agency, a medical worker writes their colleague’s name on a protective suit to aid in identification as they work at Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University in Wuhan in central China’s Hubei Province, Firday, Jan. 24, 2020. China announced Friday that it is swiftly building a 1,000-bed hospital dedicated to patients infected with a new virus that has killed 26 people, sickened hundreds and prompted unprecedented lockdowns of cities during the country’s most important holiday. The deadly animal virus epidemic spreading globally may have originated in a Wuhan laboratory linked to China’s covert biological weapons program, according to an Israeli biological warfare expert.

Radio Free Asia this week rebroadcast a local Wuhan television report from 2015 showing China’s most advanced virus research laboratory known the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Radio Free Asia reported.

The laboratory is the only declared site in China capable of working with deadly viruses.

Dany Shoham, a former Israeli military intelligence officer who has studied Chinese bio warfare, said the institute is linked to Beijing’s covert biological weapons program.

“Certain laboratories in the institute have probably been engaged, in terms of research and development, in Chinese [biological weapons], at least collaterally, yet not as a principal facility of the Chinese BW alignment,” Mr. Shoham told The Washington Times.

Work on biological weapons is conducted as part of a dual civilian-military research and is “definitely covert,” he said in an email.

Mr. Shoham holds a doctorate in medical microbiology. From 1970 to 1991 he was a senior analyst with Israeli military intelligence for biological and chemical warfare in the Middle East and worldwide, holding the rank of lieutenant colonel.

China in the past has denied having any offensive biological weapons. The State Department, in a report last year, said it suspects China has engaged in covert biological warfare work.

A Chinese Embassy spokesman did not return an email seeking comment.

, the Chicom bioweapon program is based on the WW2 Japanese legacy from Unit 731. The unit carried out a program of experimentation on Chinese captives (as well as others including US POWs) as to the effect of biological, chemical and environmental effects on humans, especially from different races. Their program was right up there with what the Nazis did in their death camps and the US gave immunity to Unit 731’s leader and the doctors who surrendered with him (ala’ Werner von Braun) if they helped the US in its biowar program. The Soviets did much the same with Unit 731 personnel it captured.

You can understand the Chinese interest in bioweapons as their main enemy, the US, and their once main ally, the Russians, both vacuumed up and gave immunity to the biowar Japanese staff that had murdered untold thousands of Chinese over the course of the occupation. There’s also the possibility that they’d like a targeted way to kill off millions of X-foreigners to make Lebensraum for more Chinese. That’s a whole nuther area/story.

Are you saying that there may be now, or in the future, a way to biologically target only those with select genetics?

BINGO! You get the Kewpie doll!

It’s long been a dream of chem/bio people to develop a selective agent but the problem was that no one could figure out how. Let’s say you had a room with Asian, European and sub-Saharan Africans and you only wanted to take out the Europeans, let’s say. You can either wait for the target audience to be alone of find some intrinsic factor that makes the target different than the others. You tailor the agent to that factor and you can loose the agent in the crowded room assured it will only effect the Europeans.

In modern times it’s been the targeteer’s dream of using genetics, what makes an Asian different from a European or sub-Saharan African, what unique and identifiable genetic factor can you find in one that’s missing in others and how can I create an agent that reacts to that intrinsic factor only.

Well a few months back I saw an article in a somewhat obscure pub about how Chinese scientists are working at finding a way to tailor medicines to individual genetics to make the meds more effective. Not only tailoring the meds to the targeted bacteria/virus but to the genetics of the individual to make it ‘more effective’. There are some medications that may be more or less effective on persons of different races or even whatever genetic factor that might make the ‘medication’ more effective for that individual and if they could be ID’d to make meds more effective it would be a boon in medicine.

All biological research is double-edged and its known that Chinese bio research, especially genetic research, is inseparably tied to military research, the Chinese have let it slip that they are doing genetic research that will create a more capable breed of athlete and military person.

We have that Chinese scientist who recently screwed up and bragged about the genetically modified set of twins he’d created. He was sentenced to jail, his sentence lightened and then he disappeared from the screen. We’re expected to believe that he created this set of genetically modified twins designed to resist HIV infection in secret and implanted them into a woman, all without any of his colleagues blowing the whistle. We’re also expected to believe that he up and decides to spill the beans at a conference and that’s the first anyone knew. There are some of us who think the HIV-positive couple was picked by the government to test a new genetic process that has profound strategic processes and the scientists, as scientists are wont to do, shot his mouth off and that’s what he was punished for.

We see here the process of making an individual immune to a specific ‘germ’ which is the flip side of making a specific person more susceptible to a pathogen, another step along the way to create a rather perfect agent. You infect and decimate your target and you can walk in almost immediately with minimal fear of infection.

Along this same line, a Twitter user said yesterday that it’s probably the USA that released the virus in China, and that it was tailored to kill Chinese, while giving a mild version of the illness to Americans (I assume Caucasians, although that wasn’t stated.)

Of course, to the left, it is always our fault. Not that it couldn’t be true, but it’s a huge leap of imagination.

Or a reverse propaganda by the Chinese to divert attention from their own doings/failings much as the Russians did/are still doing. Russian have recently accused the US of hacking their space missions and causing them to fail though they haven’t stopped transporting people and supplies to the ISS for us.

Oh…problem with targeting a Caucasian gene would be the issue of how mixed breed we tend to be but for the Chinese who’d want more of a clean slate to populate that wouldn’t be an issue at all.

And now you’re seeing the swamp we walked in. China steals whatever it can for its own purposes, it most likely stole the Canadian viruses to ensure it had what the West had just in case the West decided to use it, nit wanted a sample.

The Russians had a few bio agent releases over the years, some went public while others didn’t’ I don’t think the would Chinese purposely release the virus in Wuhan, too easy to track, they’d release it someplace else where they’d be sure it would get into the target area. If it did get out of the lab it was most likely an accident.

One small thing – the Chinese scientist who genetically modified the twins was working with the HIV virus which is transmissible before the symptoms of infection or the detection of the virus is are detectable…just like this coronavirus. Curious coincidence.
