Well this is interesting. On April 27, 4977 BCE, the Universe supposedly came into being. At least that’s what German mathematician and astronomer Johannes Kepler said in the early 1600’s. While Kepler is said to be one of the fathers of modern science, scientists in the 20th century developed the Big Bang theory, which claims that his calculations were off by about 13.7 billion years.

Weather Underground says we will stay above freezing. They are covered by a clear plastic tote right now (top and bottom.) They won’t be happy, but won’t die, anyway. It’s sunny today, but cool (39) right now.

Some of the tomatoes look bad anyway; I top dressed some of them with bone meal yesterday. On the other hand, big surprise, some of the heirlooms I planted from old seed are flourishing, both inside and outside. Two that I have inside are in 6″ pots and already about 2′ tall. I planted too early, obviously.

Dad ignored all region maps, planting advice, etc., and lived by one rule – never put out plants before Memorial Day.
Dad, as usual, was correct. Dad was always correct (sigh).
The only fertilizer ever used was his home-made compost, except one year I put down lime – it was needed. Try coffee grounds, they worked wonders for me.
Don’t forget the marigolds!

For this area, between May 15 and May 30 is the target time for planting.

As I see it the only other option is planting too late. I guessed right this year and only two bit the dust. I’m also using a foliar fertilizer in trying to push them a bit more just in case we go right to July like we did last year.

Problem is that it’s still too cool at night for tomatoes. Fortunately, I’m raising many more plants than I actually need.

Yeah, those ground temps are what I watch. You get too many nights of <50 soil and you get dead or stunted toms.

My campaign is working round the clock to get ready to challenge Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for New York Congressional District 14ās seat in Congress. Weāre getting good media and much encouragement, because people understand that the fight against socialism in our country starts in The Bronx.
Our website will be up very soon. What we need now, to hire staff and move forward, is money. So I am asking you to click on this donate page, and give what you can. All of it helps.

So glad the windows survived. I guess it’s kind of silly, but I loved stained glass and humanity doesn’t make this stuff like we used too.
LikeLiked by 4 people
It’s funny stuff too. I remember being in the German cathedrals and the guides telling us that the stained glass isn’t really a ‘solid’, it’s more of a super viscous substance that over the centuries tends to slump and needs to be releaded.
When Ann Rice bought the old St Elizabeth’s in New Orleans she had all of the stained glass windows in the upstairs church sent out for refurbishment, an expensive process. They came back more beautiful than wen they left and I’m just hoping that the new owners who bought it appreciate them.

lilbirdee12ās prayer:
Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.
We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

This was an answer to a question on Quora about what it would take to start a revolution in America. I think it is a really good answer. I like this guy his answers are usually very good.
We already had one.
I guess you missed what happened two years ago, when Americans rejected the hand-picked candidate who was supported by the political elite of both major parties, and elected someone with no political experience who was despised by all of the āelites,ā whose supporters were called āa basket of deplorables,ā and who was beaten in fundraising $639 million to $302 million?
He was also the target of a massive campaign of voter suppression by the mainstream media and pollsters who repeatedly released disinformation saying he had āno chanceā to win, in an effort to prevent his supporters from even bothering to vote.
This candidate, once he overcame this and won anyway, has since been subjected to an endless investigation of alleged collusion with a foreign power, and the only thing it’s discovered is that his opponent paid operatives of that foreign power for a dossier of information against him.
And did I mention that the winner of this election is tearing down the existing world order as we speak, and freaking out a whole continent and the world’s most populous country, while helping empower Nationalist movements around the world?
Revolutions don’t have to be violent. You’re living in one right now. Grab some popcorn.
