New Orleans:
City water plant still loses 1/2 the water it makes a day thru leaks in the lines. Thy announced a ‘new’ study discovered that but those of us who were here pre-K know that fact dates back to the 90s.
City water billing agency says water folks should run outta money before the end of the year, Same folks say that in ‘error’ the city’s not been billing a lot of BIG water users for an unknown amount of time. No one’s sure how long but the lost revenues are likely well in excess of $110-million. City still admits that many of the bills to regular users that are way out of proportion (lil’ ol’ ladies in apartments being billed for >10,000 gallons a month) are quite probably wrong but they still expect the recipients to start a payment plan with the city until the city can rectify the huge numbers of faulty bills at some indeterminate point in the fuzzy future.
City is on the hook for at least $45-million in civil courts judgements, an unpaid backlog that dates back over twenty years. City is putting $2-million a year on the docket to chip away at the backlog. These are judgements that were not paid, for one reason or another, by the city’s liability insurance. These are judgements levied by state civil courts and state laws allows them to sit unpaid until the state/parish/city has money to pay them. Federal Court have to be paid immediately so that impinges on funds available for state judgements. Meanwhile there are still pending civil trials moving thru the system.
And yes folks, it’s a solid Democrat government.

I saw this program on television once, and just watched it again on YouTube. It is fascinating, and deals with DNA, and how some people (they don’t know how many) have two sets of DNA. Two specific cases are examined. The implications of the reliability of DNA testing (particularly for criminal cases, but also for medical reasons) could be significant.

Obviously it’s hard to give up a lucrative job, but I wish she would tell them to shove it and start a podcast like other conservative outcasts have. She told nothing but the truth.

I’m sitting here waiting on my husband to get home. Rushing me last night about getting packed, while I was waiting for a load of laundry to dry and now he’s not going to be ready to leave at noon. lol
Oh well I got a good laugh at reading arguments about an Oklahoma town passing a curfew on teens under the age of 18. Same people who argue unborn babies have no constitutional rights are crying about violating the constitutional rights of teenagers out vandalizing city equipment.
I’m not one who gets all in an uproar about curfews, not that I support more laws, but teenagers out causing mischief at night costs the other citizens of the town. Maybe after parents start paying fines, they’ll start being responsible parents who give their children a curfew.

Afternoon all.
We are partying here in Stark County tonight. Pres Trump will be arriving around 6 p.m. at CAK to visit the tank plant outside Ravenna in Lima. It is the last tank plant in the U.S..
Thought something hinkey was going on. Being under several vectors here, they all have been silent save the security vector, and the Air Force helicopters coming through with troop transports. That is not normal. We do not have troop transports here.
Anyway, hot time in the old town tonight. Will be watching the skies tonight for entertainment. (CAK is ~20-30 min from here)
