    10 beautiful things about today

    1) We have a lot of snow. But I have a snowblower, a shovel, a neighbor who often does the walk and I have nowhere that I must be today.

I don’t live here. Wherever it may be.

    2) Hot Black English Tea, carrot cake, a comfortable recliner, toasty blankets, snuggly dogs.

    3) KY Prosecutor Rob Sanders Confirms: Multiple Investigations Underway Into Twitter Users For TERRORIST THREATS Against Covington Kids.

    4) Robert Barnes is going to kick some liberal but. All of them, every single hate monger is going to get their pious teethe kicked down their throats.

    Andrea Mitchel. Terrific Mr. Barnes.

    5) Stella’s informative posts about Kamala Harris, I think Stella brings up a valid question as to Kamal’s lawful eligibility as to even being able to be president.

    6) This is cut from a single sheet of paper by artist Pippa Dyrlaga. Her tools are her hands, an
X-Acto knife and a magnifying glass. Oh and a sheet of blank paper.

    7) Why are these cowards apologizing?

    Kathy Griffin

    USA Today

    Andrea Mitchell

    The Washington Post

Maggie Haberman of the NY Times

    Esquire

    S.E. Cupp

    Tom Watson

    Ask @Barnes_Law

”Thanks, Robert. Made my day.” Saul Montes-Bradley

Can you imagine if we had this power organized, backed and infused by President Trump back in the days of the false narrative of the Darren Wilson, Mike Brown false narrative?

Attorney Barnes is literally saving not only reputations but he is saving lives. If we had this kind of movement behind Darren Wilson and his innocence, the “Hands up don’t shoot” narrative would have been squashed and the police officers slaughtered directly because of that scam would be alive today.

    It is a New World.

    8) The ungracious, rude, self important mean spirited Serena Williams did not make the quarter-finals in the Australian open. Naomi Osaka, the young woman who Serena made cry by acting like a monstrous bully, did. Osaka will play the woman who beat Serena. Bravo Osaka!

    9) The beauty of life, sometimes makes me weep.

    10) President Trump is going to deliver an outstanding State of the Union Address, it will uplift American patriots and infuriate the enemies of America aka the Liberals.

    • Morning lovely! Love the bird picture! It’s nice that you can stay in today, if you want to. 😊

I am thankful that more and more people are waking up to the reality that the media is not on our side and that they continue to push false narratives to blind us to the truth. What’s happened with the Covington Catholic students has made it so obvious, I think only the willfully ignorant will not see it, because they choose not to. These are good kids that have been raised right. Imagine if all kids were raised that way? What a wonderful thing that would be! Remember last year, we were supposed to believe that nutty kid, David Hogg and his pack of followers without question, but a good Christian kid with morals, who just stands there smiling at his aggressor, we are supposed to believe is a racist bigot white supremacist? Glaring hypocrisy.

We went to see A Dog’s Way Home yesterday. Loved the movie. Darling dog, great story, beautiful scenery, and no objectionable parts that I can remember. The closest thing to sex was a scene with the two people in bed with the dog sleeping at the end of the bed. The scene was actually about the dog and was adorable. No bad language. I might caution for very young children because of some scenes with wolves and a cougar which might be a little scary, depending on the child. But, all in all, a very interesting, fun, family friendly movie. My friend wasn’t sure she wanted to see it because she was afraid she would cry all the way through. But, it wasn’t that kind of movie.

Seen on Facebook (by my friend, Alex Bensky, a former leftie):

Harriet, this is one element of the left that is significant and cannot be discounted.

As Alex Adams notes, conservatism in its various forms is not very exciting. I don’t get up in the morning, look in the mirror, and engage in the very pleasing self-congratulations of feeling that I am a good person because I believe in free markets, free speech, and due process of law. And I don’t feel that longed for frisson of feeling that by golly, I am going downtown to march for free exercise of religion and the right to a speedy trial.

But “I am going to march for Peace and Social Justice” is enormously self-flattering, especially if you’re the kind of person who tends to define his sense of self by his political ideology. And of course, if I am for Peace and Social Justice then my opponents are against that, ergo they’re evil people and if I have to go beyond the usual norms to defeat them, well, it’s a vital situation and you do what you must.

This is one of the reasons why many progs tend to react so angrily if you disagree with them. I’m just someone who believes in free markets generally. If you disagree with me on that I may think you’re uninformed or just have a different take on things, but I don’t take it as an assault on my personhood, as an assault as to what I am. Progressives tend to do that.

Liberals suffer from a delusion that all of their causes are just, the world will be all roses and butterflies if we implement their ideas, and they assimilate their crapsack ideas in a way that ought to be discussed significantly in the DSM. They cannot be separated from their ideas. To be fair, I can’t either. But my Conservative ideas are not the sum of my being and they are not fragile ideas either.

Fragile ideas – and people – cannot stand up to criticism. The other place we see this is Islam, which uses violence to hide the fact that the Koran and Mohammed cannot stand up to honest scrutiny. Hmm. Remind you of any political affiliations?

My Conservative ideas are not the only thing that defines me as a person. Liberals ideas are the only things that define them and they are proud of it.

Maybe I’m barking up the wrong tree here… But more and more I wonder…

Everyone believes in something. Honest people will admit that. Today’s most popular religion is narcissism: being a god unto oneself. I watched that play out in the Law Office I used to work in until I was sick to death of it.

Liberalism fits nicely with this religion because it lets narcissists feel good about themselves not for the outcome of their intentions, but the intentions themselves. Conservatives take the time to look at the potential outcomes, the cost, the risk factors, and don’t get to declare success until the outcome. And sometimes not even then.

The problem with being a god unto oneself is that there’s nothing bigger than that person. Hubris can be appeased, but when someone challenges an idea that that person has, it’s not an attack on the idea, it’s an attack on the person themselves. If they are a god, who are we to question them? Their ideas can’t stand scrutiny and they can’t be civil about disagreements, either. An attack on the idea damages their self-worship (and yes, for anyone reading in the wings, there’s a difference between self-worth and self-worship.)

In the end, it’s one big loop to how we got to these uncivilized days. People thought that they were doing good, appeasing crocodiles by taking religion out of schools and daily life. Christianity, though, calls for humility, the realization that a person will have to answer for their actions someday, and being kind to others. It didn’t always work in practice, but I do believe it did a lot to curb narcissism.

To many religion is narcissism, God is created in their images and they know they’re sure of God’s teachings as they so neatly dovetail with their beliefs…matter of fact they’re God’s beliefs are the same as theirs.
I just hope I’m around for the judgement of these ‘christian’ preachers who have the megachurches with mega-bank accounts and mega-spending lifestyles.

Just tried a can of a major-but-unnamed company’s Cream of Bacon soup. Meh, it’s so-so, more ‘so’ than ‘so’ so I decided to look up a recipe and here we are: https://keeprecipes.com/recipe/howtocook/cream-bacon-soup

It’s a good starting point though I’d put in more bacon and also onion and garlic sauteed in the bacon grease. My personal recipe will have this more of a stew than a soup, I’m big on ‘BAM’, if I want liquid I’ll have a glass full with the soup…and dark bread.

I know we are kind of careful about speculation and conspiracy theories on here. And, I listened to this with a grain of salt, totally prepared to dismiss it. And, as I watched and listened, I was thinking yeah, yeah, yeah, so get to the point. However, at the end she pointed out something that gave me chills if it is true. Melania and Barron suddenly left to go to Mar Largo right after Pelosi and Co. were stopped from going on their strange overseas trip. The plane that Melania and Barron took to Mar Largo was that same plane that had been readied for the Speaker’s trip. If this had been a planned trip for the President’s family, there would have been two planes ready. And, also, why did Pelosi deny that she was going to Egypt when it was on the manifest? Hmm? I’m interested in your opinions.

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

A thought just occurred (always a dangerous proposition for me…), but all have gone to bed, so perhaps we are safe.
Anyways, will this attack on the Catholic school boys make it easier or more difficult for Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s SCOTUS nomination? The Democrats have already been attacking all Catholic judicial nominations, and now the Catholic school boys.
This one requires some thought. A hunch – the Democrats will double down on Catholics, and ramp-up the current anti-Semitism. It is what they do, is it not?
