A refugee was behind the wheel of a 25-ton semi truck which mowed down and killed 12 people – and injured 48 others – as it sped at 40mph through the Christmas market in Berlin.
The vehicle was loaded with steel, as the driver drove through stalls and shoppers on Breitscheidplatz Square in Berlin’s main shopping area.
The man at the wheel – an Afghani who arrived in Germany last February – fled the scene before being arrested at a nearby zoo.
Police confirmed the original driver, who was transporting steel beams from Poland to Germany, was a Polish national who was found dead in the truck’s cabin. It appears that he was hijacked.
A truck ran into a Christmas market Monday evening in a major public square in Berlin, killing nine people and injuring at least 50 others, police said.
A police spokesman described it as a “severe incident.”“A truck just ran over a sidewalk at #Breitscheidplatz Our colleague report multiple injuries. more to follow,” Berlin police tweeted.
Rushton, who was in the market when the truck came through, told CNN that the truck didn’t slow down.
“We saw at least 10 people” injured and lying on the ground, she said.Rushton said the truck was traveling about 40 mph through a crowded pedestrian area that had no roads.“There’s no way it was an accident,” Rushton told CNN.
Apparently the truck was rented in Poland, and the driver has been arrested. One other who was in the truck is now dead.

Let ’em keep it up. The quisling EU prog pols will continue to wring their hands and whine on about what they can do to salve the righteous Islamic anger at past transgressions but the people are going to get downright pissed. Progs won’t have as much time to remove Islamophobia from the gen pop as they did nationalism, let’s see just how stoooopid the fundamentalists are.
