Morning, czar. I am actually having half a mango for breakfast. The world must be coming to an end.
LikeLiked by 6 people
Nono, completely agree with that. We usually have a large container of fresh fruit salad, nango being one I’ll fight for (old story there…anothrr time) as the fruit keeps the large quantities of dead animals from staying with us long enough to wreak revenge. Picked up a taste for fruit and cheese in Germany, also the ability to carefully slice it with a bayonet, another skill I picked up in Germany.

Now you are making me hungry!!! Czar, you must had been roughing it! I would just go down to local farm house, have the Frau slice it.

Czar, you could open a bed and breakfast and serve fancy breakfasts that the guests watch you prepare with your bayonet, you would have a truly unique offering. “Bed, Breakfast and Bayonets” as a bonus you would by default immediately screen out any liberals.

That would certainly be a niche market.

Good morning, all. We have a gorgeous summer day in southcentral Alaska. Bright sun, 60 degrees and a light breeze. Supposed to make it all the way up to 72 by mid afternoon. Yay! Might have to go to a baseball game.

Reagan came to our tiny airport in the coastal Texas town I grew up in and my grandparents got to meet him. My grandfather shook the great man’s hand and as soon as he got back to his house he shook my hand and told me that I was shaking the hand that shook Reagan’s hand. Such a precious thing for me and a memory of my grandfather I will cherish forever. ❤️

Our thermometer hit 101 this afternoon so I decided to quit work and go out for a nice 2 mile walk. About 3/4 thru it the sky turned jet black, cold rain starts to fall and when I get back to the house the meter’s at 73 degrees. Didn’t have cow patty clouds but they was angry.

What!?!? No Sarah Palin?? What are they thinkin’?
LikeLiked by 2 people
I’m not sure if you’re being facetious or not 😏 but I gotta say I’m happy she isn’t a speaker. I liked her, actually loved her as McCains understood especially since I was not fond of McCain. I like her unapologetic slapping of liberals and their ideology to the curb but (and this may sound petty) I can not stand her voice when she gets excited it just like nails on a chalk board to me.
And I lost a lot of respect for her when she quit the governorship. Fight or flight and she chose flight. I thought she sold Alaskans short when she quit. I’d be interested in your opinion since you would know how Alaskans felt about her walking away from the governorship.
LikeLiked by 1 person
No, I’m not being facetious, lovely. I love Sarah Palin. She was an outstanding governor who had an 80% approval rating among Alaskans when McLame tapped her for VP. I am proud to have voted for her. She is smart and brave and gutsy and has a true servant’s heart. Many people feel as you do about her voice, and I agree it is not her best feature. I can overlook that. I do believe that she has worked with a voice coach to learn to pitch it lower, but when she gets rolling and excited, it goes back up. Not a deal breaker for me.
A lot of Lower 48ers don’t understand the abdication of office. After McLame lost the 2008 election, leftists were fired to the max to absolutely destroy this good woman in every possible way. She scared them to death with her incredible acceptance speech at the conference and they had to bury any future career she might have. Three hard-core leftist activists filed dozens of frivilous suits against her for ethics violations in her position as governor. Responding to these suits required the full attention of her entire administration. The business of the State of Alaska ground to a halt because of it. The way the constitution of Alaska is written, legal fees for suits brought against the governor are not paid for by the state. The Palin family was personally responsible and it quickly ran into millions of dollars. The Palins were being bankrupted by it. It was all a bunch of hogwash and the suits were eventually dismissed for the frivilous crap that they were. But the only way to make it stop was for Sarah to step down. So she did. I do not consider her a quitter, but that–of course–was the next cry taken up by the Left. And you know how successful the Left is at deeply impressing it’s lies into the minds of people who don’t have all the facts and background on an issue.
I wish that McLame had never asked her to run for VP on his ticket. She would easily have been elected to a second term as our governor, and after that…who knows? She went into that campaign with so much spirit and energy. She brought the only excitement the ticket had. McLame strait-jacketed her. Most of the votes he got were votes for her, not for him. But she was way naive about the cesspool of national politics and the disgusting liberal media. What they did to her was right up there with their destruction of Dan Quayle and Robert Bork. They may have poisoned the public mind against her to the point that she will never hold elected office again, but I would so love to see Trump appoint her to a high level cabinet position, or something. She has the chops.

Thanks Tundra. That line alone gives me better insight to what happened to Palin.
Thanks for your insight, I believe if she had not been hitched to McCain she would have never been attacked it brought way too much attention to her and she never once waved on the campaign trail. I really did and still do like her, the voice is sorting but if she were allowed to be Palin and not attacked by the left I believe she could have done very good things for our country.
I do remember that a stalker either already owned or bought a house next to hers and he harassed her and her family. I remember the talk about her Down Syndrome son and the brutal attacks on Bristol.
Maybe she will have a position in the Trump White House.
LikeLiked by 1 person
The house next door to the Palins was owned by a sour woman who disliked them. She contacted a 3rd rate journ-o-list named Andrew somethingorother and offered to rent it to him so he could spend the summer spying on the family and writing a hit piece on Sarah. He accepted and moved to Wasilla. The day after he moved in and spent hours at the window with binoculars, Todd went out and bought lumber, called his buddies over, and put up a 10′ fence between the houses. Ya don’t mess with Todd! When his hit piece came out, it flopped big time. There just isn’t much to “hit” Sarah with. Remember the lawsuit to make her release thousands of emails from her governorship? Yeah, big nothingburger. Only conclusion from that exercise was that she was a consciencious and hardworking governor. No scandals.
If the 2008 debacle had never happened, I do believe she would have been great as the first woman president.

Just watched a small pice on Fox where they interviewed two political exprrts ( you could tell they were experts, theyvwere on TV). They agreed that Hillary’s numbers are where they are at, ain ‘t gonna go up much more. About the only way she’ll win is by attacking Trump, it’s going to be a multi-billion dollar negative campaign.
I agree, I said way back that she could largely secure a win by running a negative attack campaign, she was too dirty to attract, she could only keep Trump voters away. I believe that Fox should have also tied in the next news piece they ran, she’s addressing the national La Raza conference, the same Latino civil rights group that refused to invite any Republican candidates to speak at its convention as they do not like Trump..This is the same group whose’s hsd members of its leadership call for the deaths of white Americans.
Watch monies and activities flow from Rat Hillary pushers to Latino activists to get illegal voters and ilegal votong activities pushed in the November election, in turn she’ll do what Bill did and give citizenship to millions of illegals during her reign ( remember 1996?). I believe the Rats see that their buying the black voting bloc won’t work as, by mid-century, their numbers will still be roughly what they are now while Latino numbers are expected to equal about 40% of the population. I also believe that thry believe if thry bring this snake into the party, warm it up and feed it, it will be ever greatful and won’t bite them. Yeah, howzat workin’ with your last special interest group?

Of course they will probably all just move to some other idyllic area and tout their wonderfulness as they beat their chests and wipe their brows.

Nothing the Great Ubwashed does, except worship them, is good enough for the glitterati.

If I were them I don’t think I’d be out stompin’ on any farms out here, black or white owned.

Isn’t tomorrow the great “Day of Rage?” Shoot to kill.

Although some folks next door disbelieved my posts on that–which is their prerogative!–I’m still seeing announcements of it in various places. Including ZeroHedge and The Woodpile, both of which sites I find generally believable.

PDs and SOs I hear from are treating it as for real, guess folks next door know something the field hands don’t.

Don’t know if that’s a record, but I’ve stayed off the POTUS thread for at least a week. Ran some trolls off one of the crime threads the other night.

The main thread had only 1,700 comments, but there were several threads, and we trashed at least half of the comments.

That there is no one holding that poor little girl’s body, that there is no one lying next to her grieving her death,no one who rescued at least her doll, leads me to believe what I have heard and that is that entire families were mowed down and slaughtered together.
