Intellectual Froglegs: TRILOGY

Just to let you know that the new Intellectual Froglegs video has been released. Since my usual tactics for posting Rumble videos are no longer working, I can’t embed it here.

What Joe Dan says about it:

The name of this episode “Trilogy” explains itself in the first clip. And a big ol’ hat-tip to Sundance over at The Treehouse. because I basically stole the idea from him.

The Road Not Taken
By Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Memories of Sept 11, 2001, & the American spirit – is it lost?

southtowerhitWhat I mourn most deeply is our loss of  innocence and unity.

The thing that really stands out in my memories of Sept 11, 2001, is the astonishing unity of the majority of Americans – sadness, love of country, enormous anger towards our enemies.  Remember the members of Congress standing on the Capitol steps, singing God Bless America?

“How The Twin Towers Collapsed” (C4 documentary, 2001)

BBC Documentary. I have seen other videos and read other articles that address this topic. I think this one is a good summary of the building design, materials, and forces that all contributed to the collapse of the towers.

I hesitated to post this because of the numerous conspiracy theories about a government controlled demolition, a cabal by the Jews etc. This NOT A FORUM to discuss conspiracy theories! I will make one comment here about controlled demolition. If you watch the collapse of the towers, you can easily see that the collapse is from the top down, each floor collapsing the one below it. A controlled demolition is done from the bottom up, or multiple points, and the explosions before collapse are clearly visible and audible.

Believe me, I have heard every conspiracy theory over the past 22 years about the twin towers, and Tower Seven. They have been addressed.

Don’t comment unless you have first watched the entire documentary, and then directly address the points made in this video by the building structural engineers, fire experts etc.

More about 9/11

Repeat from last March.

I ran across this short video from the NY Post this afternoon. I was intrigued enough to look for more info.

TMZ:

We talked to Tom Mannello Monday on “TMZ Live” about that fateful day, as well as a theory he’s fully onboard with — namely, that he and his crew from United Flight 23 were targeted by terrorists on Sept. 11 … something he says didn’t fully believe until very recently.

What changed his mind was a new documentary we produced that’s airing tonight on FOX — “TMZ Investigates 9/11: The Fifth Plane” (9 PM ET/PT, 8PM CT) … which does a deep dive into all the suspicious circumstances surrounding the activity on the grounded flight.

From Adam Fitzgerald/Medium.com:

The Man Who Knew

PBS’s Frontline used to put out some interesting documentaries. Here is one of them.

When the Twin Towers fell on September 11, 2001, among the thousands killed was the one man who may have known more about Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda than any other person in America: John O’Neill.

This 2002 FRONTLINE documentary chronicles John O’Neill’s struggle to convince the FBI to pay attention to the threat posed by Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden.

John Patrick O’Neill was an American counter-terrorism expert who worked as a special agent and eventually a Special Agent in Charge in the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He began to study the roots of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing after he assisted in the capture of Ramzi Yousef, who was the leader of that plot.1 O’Neill investigated the bombing of the American embassies in Africa, the USS Cole in Yemen, the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia, and the first attack on the World Trade Center. He believed that America should kill Osama bin Laden before Al Qaeda launched a devastating attack, but his voice was often a lonely one.

For five years, he led the fight to track down and prosecute Al Qaeda operatives throughout the world. But he was a controversial figure inside the buttoned-down world of the FBI. O’Neill’s critics contend that his personal failings proved fatal to his FBI career. His supporters, however, believe his main failing was refusing to conform to the standard-issue FBI mold.

The irony is that this is where John O’Neill died on September 11, 2001. Continue reading
