Well done. Should be required viewing for all the whiny, self-centered worksters. Maybe teach them about the working class people who step up to keep the world going every day.
So disheartening to find out that almost no one is immune from the swamp virus. We all likely know it, but don’t wat to acknowledge it until it’s put in front of us.
I know that today is somewhat of a solemn day, but since we’re pointing out the ineptitude of our gubmint, here’s example 2. The Energy Sec…Granholm planned a 4-day event where they would have a caravan drive from Charlotte, NC all the way to Memphis, TN.
As you can expect, hilarity ensued where they discovered there aren’t near enough chargers in the world, they had the cops called on them, and they also had to have a couple non-ev vehicles in the caravan. I did some checking and it’s only 621 miles from Charlotte to Memphis. According to Google maps, that’s a 9 hr and 21 minute drive with a dinosaur powered vehicle.
Why was it going to take four days? Why did this first stop have to occur only 175 miles from the start………..but you get the idea.
This on the heels of the Ford CEO taking a trip from CA to Vegas a couple weeks ago and his capsulizing statement was………….we’ve still got some work to do!
Why do they have to finish this project? With just a small push, most of the companies will drop or greatly reduce their projects, and go back to profitable vehicles which do not severely damage the environment like mining for rare earth metals does.
My longest car trip is normally from Detroit to Chicago, which is about 300 miles and five or six hours depending on traffic. Most EV’s wouldn’t make it in that time, while my current vehicle doesn’t even need to be refueled, although I usually do fill up in Indiana, where gas is cheaper than in Illinois.
Good morning everybody! It’s another beautiful early fall day – just as it was on September 11, 2001. Comfortable temps with blue skies and a few clouds.
Afternoon All. It was a coolish 50* with clear blue skies when I got up. So, this is Fall. I like Fall. Fall in Fl was like…..a day. And, usually that day the guys who were clearing off land decide to burn all the bushes and mucky muddy dirt on the roots of trees so the air was filled with rancid smoke. It is just beautiful here today.
Speaking of smoke. I know I have mentioned that I thought we had a skunk here, but I could never find any evidence of one. I know a little about their patterns and habits. Also, Loki never barked when I smelled it. So, having seen a few people sitting in their cars doing something in the parking lot and smelling skunk I decided to ask the Internet if pot smells like skunk. And everything I read says it does. I don’t remember that from the 70’s. The pot back then smelled like burning seats to me. So, I guess that is what is going on. Two things I don’t want to run into here……bears and skunks.
Well, I hope you all have a nice day with no skunks or bears.
We are certainly in a world of hurts here. Apparently, there was quite a number of folks who didn’t know that Queen Latifah had been a high-powered hip-hop or rap, or some such sort of music singer. Not that I could name one song she’s ever sung, I am much more familiar with her singing career, than her acting career.
What I knew about her. She used to show up on shows in African garb acting all black and carrying on. Then after a while, she got an acting gig, I guess and changed her image. I figured it was more lucrative.
I’ve seen the movie, and I’ve seen the stage play twice – once in New York in the 1970’s with the original cast, and once in a local theater group a few years ago. They were all good!
It is VERY interesting and a little encouraging that this person who has such a voice on the left is able to speak out this truth. His eyes have been opened a little. It could start making a difference.

Eisenhower warned us. Military Industrial Complex. Too late to change it now, it is entrenched with fear.

I didn’t realize that. But, why would I. I generally turn off the sound as fast as I can if rap comes on anything.

Her big movie was Chicago, where she played the prison warden. Sang the song well.
