Even though it’s summer, this can be made ahead in parts and then assembled to limit heat in the kitchen. I like that.

Good mornin’, and happy Monday! Much like when the democrat party goes looking for new candidates, we can also find some interesting characters when looking for coffee pots around the world. This one fits the bill, and I don’t see a single tattoo. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

That coffee pot is something else. The shape, the floral pattern all very traditional and then, something went wild.
Thank you for the coffee.

We did strictly hot dogs for the 4th of July, and momma made baked beans. Quite a treat, but not exactly the same. Gonna take a hard pass on Delaware Day, as I’m sure their most famous resident will be napping most of the day.

Do y’all use those Bush’s Steakhouse Recipe Grillin’ beans? My son turned me on to those and I’ve never gone back to anything else. Man, they are the beginnings of some great baked beans. We had that, burgers and brats in our neck of the woods.
I love a good hot dog, but almost never get one because I happen to be married to the only American weirdo who hates them.

I hate ’em, too – but have learned to enjoy Hebrew National beef ones. Done well.

The Bush’s Grillin’ Beans are flavorful! Had to bid a fond farewell when I checked the sugar content. Sadly, most commercial sauced beans are loaded with sugar, even though they are tasty.
Franks, too, are off the list, due to the high fat vs. protein content. They simply don’t taste good to me anymore.
So, I add a flavorful less-fatty meat to plain beans and limit sweetening. It’s not the same, but it’s a change I can live with.
I still keep searching.

Tennessee is, overall, a wonderful place to live, with a few qualifiers. Memphis. Who would live there? I wouldn’t, not under even the most lucrative circumstances. Knoxville probably isn’t a lot different, plus you have the Vols fans, and, trust me on this, they are the epitome of the reputation we have as ignorant hillbillies. And they are everywhere in Knoxville. The whole town is consumed by football. I love it too, but damn y’all, Peyton Manning graduated decades ago, and he is retired now. Give it a rest.
Finally, my home, Chattanooga. I returned here in 2020 to find it being taken over by progressives in a steady and powerful march. We are a fast growing city, and politicians must be lining their pockets because the citizens, actually mostly from both sides, are in an uproar. Home prices outrageous, not nearly enough to buy or rent, no infrastructure improvements, no schools built, and the traffic is at a standstill most of every day. Also, they keep tearing down historic and beautiful old buildings to put in condos that would so Soviet era Russia proud. Hispanic population is huge here, and I believe, a major % of that is illegal.
Things are probably better in most smaller places but I have read that lots of Muslims live in certain areas.

How did Mississippi luck out? It’s surrounded by states on the list.

MS comes out 51st after Puerto Rico for most progressive ideology. They’d rather forget we exist, which is ok with me.

Us Idahoans sure wish the West Coast hadn’t en masse turned leftie. We’re getting scads of their folks who want to get away from over-regulation (aka communism) but still vote in progressives.

Mornin’ All. It is 64* right now and partly overcast. It didn’t cool off until about 4:00 in the morning so it was hard to get to sleep. I may have to buy a better fan. The one I have in the bedroom has a whine to it. So, I have to keep it on low. Here I am complaining, but this will be over pretty soon. It is supposed to rain tomorrow, so we will see if that cools it off a little.
Hope it is comfortable where you are, either with the temps or an air conditioner. At least we don’t live in Europe.

Remember the two YouTube ladies who had their waters break early and were hospitalized? (Italian Eva and Irish Keely). Both are out of the hospital on limited release (have to stay close to the hospital) and still pregnant! Keely says that her amniotic sack has apparently repaired itself, she hasn’t had a leak in three weeks, and her levels are back to normal. Thank the good Lord!

He also asked a number of personal questions about his readers.
Like you, I would proceed with caution.
Under normal circumstances, whether or not this photo was used in 2023 should be easy to verify, as such news would have been widely spread.

AI says: what method is used to keep a brain-dead person “alive”
To keep a brain-dead person “alive,” medical professionals typically use mechanical ventilation and intravenous fluids to maintain organ function and circulation. This method allows for the preservation of organs for potential donation, as the body can still exhibit some physiological responses despite the absence of brain activity.
Methods for Maintaining Organ Function
Several techniques are employed to sustain bodily functions in brain-dead individuals.
Temperature Regulation — Maintaining normal body temperature is essential for organ preservation, often achieved through external warming devices.
Mechanical Ventilation — This device artificially supports breathing by delivering oxygen to the lungs, ensuring that the body receives necessary oxygen even without brain function.
Intravenous Fluids — Fluids are administered to maintain blood pressure and hydration, which is crucial for organ viability.
Hormonal Support — Hormones may be administered to regulate bodily functions and maintain homeostasis, which can be disrupted after brain death.

Darline has already committed to serving only the remainder of Lindsey Graham’s term. She isn’t part of the good ol’ boys club, isn’t seeking to build a political career, and would simply honor the legacy of her brother and of the man the people of South Carolina elected.
