Good mornin’, Lucille! I’ll bet those would make a really beautiful bouquet. Coffee’s ready, ma’am.

Good morning, Texan! A red/white/blue bouquet is on its way to your place to enjoy when consuming and serving various coffees. My preference today is a large espresso.

Good mornin’, and happy hump day! As we’re approaching a big birthday, it made me a bit nostalgic. I found this antique brass machine to scratch that itch. Some may even say this is Steampunk. We just want coffee. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee.

How’s your weather? It’s oppressive here – humid and 100° this afternoon. Already 90.

High 90s here and God knows what the humidity is. I’m better off not knowing!

Good morning, Tex.
To make the best espresso, you gotta have steam!
That machine looks quite able to do the job. Thank you for the eye-opener.

Good afternoon, Czarina,
You just reminded me of what’s missing on the Fourth of July menu: ice cream. I will take care of that post haste!
And speaking of postal matters, I believe a handwritten note is far superior to a text, or an E-Mail. The speed of a text and the ease of E-Mail, however has resulted in a scarcity of the handwritten message. It’s sad. So many messages eventually end up in the electronic ether.
Wish they’d kept politics out of the post and concentrated on various forms of service.

Don’t forget watermelon too! I just cut one up, and it is sweet down to the rind. Tucker helped me eat some of it.

That might be even better, if I can find a small, ripe watermelon.
I’ll bet Tucker really enjoyed it.

I got one of those medium size seedless watermelons at Costco, and it filled three Ziploc containers, which is a lot of fruit for us to finish. We BOTH enjoyed it a lot!
ADD: Have you ever had watermelon with cottage cheese? It’s really good. Also good in Greek salad (cucumber, olives, Feta cheese etc.)

I don’t think I’ve tried watermelon with cottage cheese, but I do enjoy it with other fruit.
Next time I have watermelon, I will try it!

According to a YouTube ad for Fabula coffee beans, Teddy Roosevelt drank a gallon of coffee every day. He apparently attributed his life to it after doctors prescribed coffee for childhood illnesses. Hope the story is true.

Alan Dershowitz: The Democrats Are Coming Close to What Socialists Said in 1932 Germany and Stalin’s Russia – The Party Has Already Been Blown Up
By Jim Hoft Jul. 1, 2026 10:15 am
America-hating socialist candidate Darializa Avila Chevalier and Dr. Alan Dershowitz.
Professor Emeritus at Harvard Law School, Alan Dershowitz, joined the National News Desk this week to discuss the Democrat Party’s leap towards communism.
Several communists won their Democrat primaries in New York last week.
Dr. Dershowitz compared the present day Democrat Party to the early socialists in Stalin’s Russia and 1932 Germany.
He did not hold back.
