Good mornin’, Lucille! I’ve been to Myrtle Beach but never seen that, so I would probably enjoy it immensely, and the Greenbriar has been on my list for a long time. Coffee’s ready, ma’am.

Good day, aus! There are a lot of recipes for Christmas tacos, but putting in cranberries is not quite the same as a hot pepper.
Take care!

Definitely a Kleenex moment Lucille.
There are more out there like her than we know. I am glad that secret Santas exist not just for the holidays, but for the whole year ’round.
Every kindness, every good deed, every heartfelt word of comfort spoken makes a difference in this world.
Thank you for posting this.

Good mornin’, and happy Tuesday. Beautiful picture from up the road at the San Antonio Riverwalk and their decorations, so I thought I better tie in. Here’s a terra cotta pot for our tacos and San Antonio. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee!

Thanks T! Good morning! San Antonio is the one and only city in Texas I’d like to visit, since my son and Wee convinced me that I really, really don’t want to go out to the West Texas town of El Paso, featured in one of my favorite ballads!

You still really, REALLY don’t. Whole place is cartel.

And there ain’t one fella in that town that looks, or sings, like Marty Robbins!

Good mornin’, Menage! San Antonio is a great place, even though it’s pretty liberal. It’s an hour from Rancho el Gordito, so we go to town every once in a while and have enjoyed eating our way around town, and lots to see.

I’d be pleased to have a pot like this for my table. These mugs would go well with it….

Pretty Pot, Tex. A lot of artistic detail.
I’m ready for a cup! And ham and cheese puff pastry from Lucille, too.
My goodness, breakfast and lunch.

Hiya, Wee!
The company is still around. And in the spirit of the day they are sending this recipe.
Norwegian Lutefisk Taco: Put a piece of lefse on a dinner plate. Top with a thin layer of mashed potatoes. Flake lutefisk on top of the potatoes. Pour melted butter over the top. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Memories and comments on lutefisk:
Fish jello with occasional piece of what was at one time bone ( it jellifies) and skin. Smell is far worse than the taste. Good way to eat is to drown it in butter, white sauce and pepper the hell out of it. Grew up eating it on Christmas. Wasn’t allowed to open presents till it was gone.
The flavor is extremely mild, like a steamed cod or something.
The thing people dislike is the texture, which is not so much like Jell-O as it is like congealed gravy.
But more to the point, the basic wiggly texture isn’t even what people have a big problem with. The problem is that the texture isn’t homogeneous. The meat of the fish is soft and gelatinous, but the bones are only partly dissolved, which can give the same kind of feeling as you get with questionable chicken nuggets, where you sometimes get a chewy bit of connective tissue.
If you still want to try it: Bacon saves the day.
Taste is pretty neutral, not all that fishy. Texture is what gets people. We’ve taken to preparing it with a butter sauce and chunks of crispy thick cut bacon. Serve it on top of some Yukon gold mashed potatoes and you’re set.

So who was for and who was against the consumption of Lutefisk?

Hard pass on the lutefisk, Reflection! My Dad grew up around that stuff, and he was not a fan, nor did he ever try to get his children to eat that………stuff! 😉

Mornin’ All. Overcast and yucky out. It is in the mid 40’s, so no chance of snow. And, the rain has finally quit until late tonight. It was really pouring off the roof last night. At least I can get out of my driveway.
Hope you all have a nice day.
