Good mornin’, Lucille! Interesting list there. I will have to pass on #2 however. At least until they get a few more of their incorrigibles behind bars. Coffee’s ready, ma’am.

If safety is a priority, I’m passing on 2, 3, 6, 13, and 20. Also did President Trump move Oklahoma to the South and I missed it?

Safety-wise, you can scratch #1, too! Mornin’ Menage!

Okay, having time to review this, I guess the government call Oklahoma Southern. That’s just weird, and I never knew it. I wonder if Oklahomans consider themselves Southern?

Good morning, Texan! You are so right. Check this out….
With a crime rate of 113 per one thousand residents, Memphis has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes – from the smallest towns to the very largest cities. One’s chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 9.
Yikes!

Many Tennesseans are mad at the governor for not sending in the National Guard. He does not have the same level of testosterone our president has.

Well, what I see is I can’t afford to live in any of those cities. I believe the town I live in right now has about a population of about 5,000. I am managing, but rent is soon going to be out of my range.

Good mornin’, and happy Friday! Everybody’s usually in a hurry, so I fired up the combo maker again this morning. While our guy laid low for a couple days, at least he didn’t show up with a giant gash on his head when he was spotted! Keep your head on a swivel and capre’ your coffee!

*capre’/carpe’*……..at this point, what difference does it make? 😉

Good morning all.
Tex,
What difference does it make?
Depends if you’re expanding your linguistic abilities or not. French is not so far from Latin.
Were you telling us that we should caper with our coffee? (Or more likely after our coffee?)
We’d need to be careful not to spill it!

How’s he peopling, Menage?
LikeLiked by 2 people
He’s doing really well. Goes to a homeschool academy three days a week for his core classes, plus robotics and PE. He’s enjoying it, participating, and actually talking to other kids and teachers.
Last Friday we took him on a class field trip, a swim day. He actually enjoyed it so much we stayed for hours. He had an episode where he aggravated the teens by shooting a water pistol at them and not quitting when they told him too, and they retaliated by swamping him. All good interaction and lessons for him.
Overall, he got along great with the kids and is really improving in his peopling skills. I’m so proud of him. Yet I know that he’s not ready for school school. He needs lots of additional help to stay on task and complete the work. The teachers have been very good with him.
What worries me is, this only works because I’m there to catch the gaps and interface. I hope this year will help him with skills he needs to learn on his own, and I’m already shifting stuff to him as I can. That’s of course trail and error so far. But I’m leaving him alone at school already, so we are making good progress.

Thank you aus, I really appreciate that. Little guy’s had lots of prayers from people who don’t know him, ever since his heart surgery when he was a couple of months old. And it has certainly blessed him greatly.

They say that smiles beget smiles, Lucille.
Such a winsome face. The smaller one inside is equally so.
Of course, it could be the caffeine inside, as the eyes are really wide open!
Happy day.

Lucille,
I think I’m going to find that mug. I think it might make a child’s day.
It would also fill the role of “if you see someone without a smile give him one (or two)”; a quite outrageous and whimsical gift to make even an adult smile.
I rather like that thought, too.

If anyone was wondering how we got a lightweight like KBJ on the Supreme Court, here’s your answer. This is the judicial “bench”, if you will.

We probably subsidized the student loans these idgits had to go to Law school. Why don’t the bastages all immigrate to Canada? I genuinely do not get people’s thinking. I want to be American, so I live here. I want to be Catholic, so I’m not practicing it like Biden or Pelosi.
When you can make your own choices in life, why don’t the you choose what you don’t want to be and try to change it? It genuinely baffles me me, especially religious choices, because unlike packing up and moving to another country, I can go to another church without spending any money.

Chianti might pair well with the cheese pizza.
Food banks would prefer shelf stable foods. Chef Boyardee mix?
Lazy Moms might always be late. (Is this a day for hard-working Moms to relax?)

https://www.fox2detroit.com/news/dearborn-heights-removes-arabic-police-patch-not-official-mayor-says
A little more than two days since the Dearborn Heights Police Department posted a photo of a police patch featuring Arabic script, the city’s mayor says the patch was only an idea and should never have been presented as official.
Police confirmed to FOX 2 on Wednesday that the department had a new optional patch that officers can wear as part of their uniform. The patch read ‘Dearborn Heights Police’ in both English and Arabic and would have been the first in the United States to feature Arabic script.
Dearborn Heights’ Middle Eastern or North African population was 39% as of 2023. Neighboring Dearborn has a population of roughly 55%.
55%. That’s alarming.

I am going to say flat out that Islam is incompatible with civilization, and it is a “religion” invented by an evil pedophile. Based on actual study of the Quran and teachings of the faith, and reading books by Muslims.
In a nutshell, a very accurate description would be this: Mohammed and by extension, his followers, got to rob and murder those who didn’t bow down to him and follow him, and rape their women and children. Those who do follow him go to a paradise for sexual deviants, and that all their paradise is. Those who don’t go to sexual deviant paradise get tortured for eternity for not being murderers, terrorists, and sexual deviants. The End.
I don’t ever intend to consider Islamic motives pure or good. Whether that be racist or not, I don’t care because it’s true. If you study Islam, you come to realize that all their teaching basically lead to above ends.

Good afternoon All. Got up really late this morning. It is cool enough outside that I am a little chilly. Wonderful!
The tenants below me have moved out and left a clogged septic system. So, the maintenance was here yesterday unclogging it. The new tenants are moving in this weekend, I think. But, I asked them to check my toilet because, when flushed, the water makes a very loud whining noise. Hasn’t bothered me, but the new tenants have a small baby and I figure it might wake him up. So, the maintenance guy told the owner the toilet was from 1972 and was too old to fix, it needs to be replaced. The owner just happened to be here and he said, “sure”. So, at some point I should get a new one.
Well, guess I will go and put on a sweatshirt.
Have a nice day.

Very thoughtful of you, Aus.
Here’s to your goodness!
Somehow the sum of the former neighbors is fittingly described as “they left a clogged septic system”.
The fact that your landlord “just happened to be there” and said “sure”, may be the touch of grace that the situation needed.
