Open Letter to the Left and the Mainstream Media

Dear self-proclaimed leaders of the “resistance,” dear editorialists of CNN, MSNBC, Le Monde, Libération and the whole lot, dear TikTok and X influencers who’ve been spewing your hate for years.

You are the primary culprits behind this assassination attempt against Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, this Saturday, April 25, 2026. Yes, you. Not the lone gunman, not the “unbalanced” individual we’ll be fed tomorrow as a convenient scapegoat. You. Those who, since 2015, have turned political debate into a manhunt. Those who have demonized, dehumanized, criminalized a president elected twice by the American people.

You’ve spent a decade treating him like Hitler, an existential threat to democracy, a racist, a fascist, a rapist, a Putin stooge. Every day, your headlines, your talk shows, your hysterical threads have poured poison into the minds of millions of vulnerable people. You’ve legitimized violence by disguising it as “moral resistance.”

You’ve laughed off previous attacks, downplayed assaults on his supporters, glorified political prosecutors and activist judges. And when an armed lunatic tries to force his way into a gala where the President is present, you still dare to play the shocked innocents?
Hypocrites.

It’s your rhetoric that armed this shooter. It’s your endless editorials on “Trump = danger to the planet and to humanity” that created the climate.

It’s your complicit silence in the face of physical assaults on Republicans, your calls to “fight” (by any means necessary?), your systematic refusal to condemn violence when it comes from your side. You’ve turned politics into a cold civil war, and you’re surprised it’s heating up?

Donald Trump survived. Once again. Because Providence, or fate, or luck, or God—call it what you will—sometimes protects those you hate the most.

But how long do you think this game can go on before one of your fiery speeches finally hits its mark? How many more “unbalanced” individuals will your propaganda churn out?

The blood isn’t on your hands yet, but it’s already there in thought. You are intellectually and morally guilty.

You’ve broken the democratic contract: accepting the legitimacy of the elected opponent. Instead, you’ve chosen permanent demonization, censorship, double standards, state-sponsored media lies.

Shut up for a minute. Stop screaming “dictatorship” every time a conservative wins. Stop turning every electoral defeat into a call to war. Democracy isn’t “our side must win by any means necessary.” It’s accepting that the other side can govern without you implicitly calling for its physical elimination.

To all those on the left who still have a shred of decency: repudiate this deadly rhetoric.
Condemn it unequivocally, not with your “yes, buts.”

The rest of you? History will judge you. And it isn’t kind to those who start fires and then act outraged when the flames reach their own living rooms.

President Trump is alive. America is still breathing. As for you… own what you’ve sown.

Whether we agree with him on his politics or not, Trump was elected by the American people; we call that democracy but many left-wing people have forgotten it. No one deserves to die for these ideas. May God protect America and President Trump.
