According to CNBC:
The probe is eyeing multiple instances of the use of classified documents in leaks to news media. NBC reported that the investigation into Bolton began during the Biden administration, but did not go further before President Joe Biden left office in January.
An FBI official said, “The FBI is conducting court authorized activity in the area. There is no threat to public safety,” but declined to comment on Bolton, according to NBC. That statement indicates a judge signed a search warrant for Bolton’s residence in Bethesda, just outside of Washington, D.C.

All true, but I don’t think this is a case of retribution. At least, that’s not all it is. Bolton is almost surely guilty of leaking classified information AND publishing it in his book!

I don’t consider it as such, either. But we all know how it will be spun by the libs. What I do find interesting is that the first one is a “republican”. That takes a bit of air out of their balloon, IMO.
