Good morning, Lucille! Southern Italy would be a nice place to visit right about now. Or Greece.

Good afternoon, Stella! Yes, an ideal time to visit and not have the summer sun scorching down or crowds in the restaurants and hotels. Tomorrow it’s supposed to be 65f degrees in Athens according to AccuWeather. Perfect!

About the same in Corfu. A favorite old book written by Mary Stewart is set in Corfu. It’s called This Rough Magic, first published in 1964. The title is a quote from William Shakespeare’s The Tempest. It’s one of those books that I reread occasionally, an old-fashioned romantic suspense novel.

I’m pretty sure the first time I heard of Corfu was in a 1957 film called “Desk Set” starring Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy. Hepburn was the head of research for a major media company and responds to a question from a caller with Corfu as the answer.

Just now I tried to find a film clip verifying that recollection. Nada.

Perhaps the last novel I read was one by Sue Grafton, “Y Is For Yesterday” (published in 2017). I’m not given to re-reading novels but often re-view films.

Btw, Dina Merrill was one of the supporting players in DESK SET. Her mother owned Mar-A-Lago and willed the property to Merrill who sold it to Donald Trump.

Photo of Merrill and her mother, Marjorie Merriweather Post, at Merrill’s 1946 wedding…

I’ve read most of Grafton’s novels too. So sad that her life was cut short.

My absolute favorite Mary Stewart novel, My Brother Michael, is also set in Greece – Athens and Delphi.

Good morning everyone! Happy Time Change! (In most areas.)

Wrest your groggy selves up, as you have been deprived of an hour’s sleep.

Tex’s coffee will be very important today; better grab the big cup.

Nothing will stand in the way of “carpe diem”!

This one got a big chuckle here Wee. Reminded my husband of a house we used to live in years ago, up on a hill. He set his thermos on the toolbox of his truck and for got it one morning. He said he had to chase that thermos for a block, but by golly, he got his coffee back.

Thanks T! Good morning. We finally had shirt sleeve weather yesterday, went for a walk down by the river. Unfortunately, it was windy. I now have hair that looks like a haystack. Oh well.

I noticed that a number of very pretty young ladies were out promenading. They looked very nice, with a full application of makeup and nice clothes. I’m about 30 years past that, at least.

I would, however, love to know what kinda invisible cement they had on their hair.

We had some nice weather yesterday, despite the wind, but this morning it was a brisk 37* when I went out to fill up my bird feeders. We’re on hummingbird watch, but they may stay away for another week or so with this cold snap. We’ve had them in as early as March 8, but March 14 is the usual date we have first sight.

        Sorry, Czarina,

My fault. Had to be up very early this morning, so I probably contributed to the coffee shortage.

Had to sing Wee’s song a few times today.

Makes me feel a lot better about the tune, after Cat Stevens tarnished his reputation.

Texan, there are many households that could use this coffeemaker quite a bit. Now all that’s needed is a nice set of 24 oz mugs….

Plus, ham & Swiss sliders sound just right for any time of the day to accompany the brew….

Our Favorite Sunday Columnist provides a synopsis of the week that was. In this post, she does dissect some of the legal matters and why many on our side misread some of the goings on of SCOTUS. Grab your coffee and sit a spell.

National Barbie Day – did not ever have a Barbie. I never really liked dolls, preferring stuffed animals.

National Crabmeat Day – ther is a casino on the coast that has a buffet with crab legs every night…

National Meatball Day – I do not make these, preferring to buy them frozen to having all the mess of making them

National Get Over It Day – Don’t fume over something minor any longer.

Settle the score with yourself and your burden will feel lighter.

Say goodbye to the worry of the “if onlys” and “what ifs” and look forward to days with a more positive attitude.

National I Am Day – I AM are two powerful words you can say that will change the way you think and feel about yourself. Also known as daily positive affirmations, the words I AM can help you overcome fear, self-doubt, and reduce self-sabotage. In fact, saying daily I AM affirmations will help you believe in yourself so you can achieve becoming your highest self. National I AM Day encourages everyone to reach their full potential through self-empowerment, self-motivation, and self-encouragement. Starting with I AM.

I need a big favor tomorrow. I’m going to be without interwebz access most of the day, so if I could get someone to put some coffee on first thing in the morning, that would be great! Sorry for the inconvenience.

Afternoon All. Beautiful day here. It should be up on the high 40’s and maybe even 50’s, but I checked the coming weeks and they are forecasting snow for a week or so soon. I am still working on the pile of snow that came off the carport roof. It isn’t very big now, but I want it completely gone before we get any new snow.

    Hope your weather is good.

I just finished watching “And Then Came You”. I wasn’t sure I would stick with it, but I am glad I did. I really enjoyed it.
