Ice climbing near Ouray, Colorado (at one end of the Million Dollar Highway). Yes, I have been there and driven that road.

The Million Dollar Highway, also known as U.S. Route 550, is a scenic and treacherous mountain road that runs between Ouray and Silverton in southwestern Colorado. It is a 25-mile stretch of highway that is part of the San Juan Skyway Scenic Byway. It was originally a tollway created to access the many mines in the mountains along its route.

Very cute, but I can tell you that the dog I had growing up would not have been nearly as amused! He would have left his own little present! Good mornin’, Lucille. Coffee’s ready!

We used to have a wicked smart female Golden Retriever. In spite of being one of the friendliest breeds ever, and a female, she was the single most alpha dog I’ve ever seen. Wanted to run everything and everyone.

For the most part, we let her, but every once in awhile, her desires crossed my husband’s. Every time he made that dog do something she didn’t want to do, she pooped right beside his truck door. He soon got wise to that, and learned to watch for it. So, she waited for him to leave, and would be sure to leave a present for him in the exact spot he stepped out of the truck when he got home. And, he usually couldn’t remember after a whole day.

Good mornin’, and happy Friday eve, y’all! Eleven days and counting until a new dawn in this Country. Even though it’s gonna take some time to clean up the sh*t-show, we all know that it will be much better. In honor of some of those gubmint workers who will be going back to their offices very soon, I found our old break room Bunn. Keep your head on a swivel and carpe’ your coffee!

Some thoughts on the brilliance of the pecan log sitting in the White House. Luckily he’ll be out the door on a road trip up the coast in 11 days!

National Apricot Day – under appreciated. But you have to like the skin to get to the fruit

National Static Electricity Day – not fun

National Balloon Ascension Day – beautiful

National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day – take them some cookies!

God mornin’, czarina! Used to eat apricots a lot when I was a kid. Couldn’t tell you the last time I had one. Certainly could be an acquired taste for some. Grew up the son of an IN state trooper. Good friend’s dad is a retired TX Ranger. Mad respect for them.

At one house we lived in there were two apricot trees at the corner where my bedroom was. When the fruit was ripe, I could hear the fruit hit the roof and roll off to the ground. I like apricots!

Good day, Czarina! Hoping for a day without static electricity in an Idaho winter…or while riding along in a balloon….

      Appreciate law enforcement every day….

I’m sure that many of you remember big city PD’s entering into consent decree’s during previous d administrations where the feds take over managing local cops. Minneapolis just signed off on one. First one I’ve heard about in a while, but I’m sure it will work out just fine this time. I don’t recommend any trips to downtown Minneapolis anytime soon.

Mornin’ All. On my way out the door to retrieve some more stuff from the old apt. Couldn’t go yesterday because it had snowed almost a foot and I knew the roads wouldn’t be great. But, I am going for it today.

Hope all of you have a nice day.

Unbelievable. Jimmy wouldn’t have agreed to this would he?

Agree with Mollie. Personally, the song was never a favorite of mine.

Re whether Jimmy would have requested or wanted IMAGINE sung, his children and grandchildren indicate they were close to him. That makes me think they chose the song because it fit with Jimmy’s philosophy. If it doesn’t actually fit, then shame on them for allowing it at his funeral and Rosalynn’s, too.

I’m pretty sure most of us have now seen the Mayor of LA with the deer-in-the-headlights look when asked some questions by what appears to be some sort of real journalist. This article has a bit of a different take on the clam-up. Naomi Wolf (yes, that one) is quoted as saying – “Wolf likened Bass’s behavior to something one would see from the World Economic Forum or in Communist China.

“She is not freezing. Nonresponsive officials are a WEF/CCP tactic causing demoralization. Like the school boards that file out when questioned…”
