Good mornin’, and Happy Friday Eve. It is the day after most of the festivities, so we no doubt need something with some kick. This ought to do the trick. Keep your head on a swivel and Carpe’ your coffee!

My, how the worm has turned. Many companies who spurned DJT, are now throwing money at him. I’m shocked, I tell ya!

These large companies are funding Trump’s inauguration despite pledge to withhold support after Jan. 6 – Washington Examiner

NationalWhiners’ Day – I’d rather deal with the Festivus complainers

National Candy Cane Day – start undecorating the tree…

National Thank You Note Day – might as well get down to it

Morning czarina! Can’t undecorate the tree until at least New Year’s Day, or maybe Epiphany. Personally, I would leave mine up until March, but leave the curtains closed so the neighbors don’t know.

That may be why decorating indoor plants with white lights became popular for a while. They were cheery in the winter months. And socially acceptable.

One year, I regularly passed a home which had a single, rather large bush decorated with small Christmas lights for the season. And they remained decorated and lighted for months after the holidays. There were comments, but I thought at the time, if it brought someone joy throughout the grey winter, then let it be so.

I have never seen it again, and I don’t know why it was lighted that year, but it made me smile then and the memory still does.

        Defy darkness whenever you can.

Good afternoon, Czarina! The largest candy cane in the world is made in Ontario, California….

All whiners should receive a large candy cane. The peppermint will cool them down so they can write their thank you notes for gifts received.

Afternoon All, Got some groceries, etc, this morning, delivered from Walmart. I kept waiting on the rest of it and it never came. Turns out I only got 3 bags and a detergent bottle for the amount I paid. Another shock. I do have to admit that I ordered several things that were expensive, but I needed.

It snow last night and is supposed to snow some more today. Only a few inches, but I have a feeling moving is going to be a bit more difficult when the time comes. I accidentally disconnected my home phone. Long story. It wasn’t supposed to happen until Jan. 4. So now I am on my cell phone that I can barely make calls from, but I am working on it. I have cancelled most of Spectrum because out of 120 channels, I only watch one or two regularly and a couple of others sometimes. I have to work that out still. I had to keep the Internet, but they gave me a really good price on it for a year.

We had a nice Christmas. Went to Church yesterday morning for a really nice service. It was several, maybe 7, short readings and explanations and then a song after each. I enjoyed it very much. My DIL went up to read one passage and the baby saw her and started to go up. I knew if I held on to him he would pull away, fall down and start crying. So, I let go and he walked right up to her. She picked him up and continued reading about the Virgin Mary. There was a quiet “awwww” through the small congregation.

Later, when we gave the baby a gift bag with a pair of coveralls in it, he pulled out the tissue paper in the bag, tossed it over his shoulder, then pulled out the pants and tossed it over his shoulder and then looked in the bag to see what was in it. We were all just dying laughing at that point. A very nice Christmas Day. Hope you all had a nice day, too.

    Merry Christmas.
