Watched this again and had missed that weird metal tree near the beginning. Wasn’t too terrible, but nowhere near as classy as our favorite First Lady, Melania.

It’s obvious that the White House staff and decorators worked extremely hard to create this full-on Christmas display. I have never seen the rooms so fully decorated, including lighted fireplaces.
It’s lavish, yes, but I believe the intent was to provide something for everyone, including a special room for the children. Hence the much-maligned carrousel.
Jill Biden has been maliciously targeted on this one. The work that was put into these displays was tremendous. And whoever did it, deserves some credit for attempting to create a tableau that speaks grandly of Christmas.
