    Good mornin’, kids! We’re halfway through another day of the AI presidency, and I figured we needed some hi-test this morning. This is technically an espresso machine, but if we just look at it like 93 octane rocket fuel for your nervous system, we’ll be okie-dokie! Carpe your coffee, y’all.

    This is my “dumbest story of the day”, but I’ll bet y’all can find one even better. College police chief from Mass. has been working from Florida for the last 18 months. And the college president gave it the OK. WTH has happened to this Country?

    National Spice Blend Day – my faves include Spike and Saizon Completa (original and tropical)

    National Macadamia Nut Day – my mother loved these. I could live without them.

    National Wildlife Day – interesting thing about living in the country is I get some wildlife most days. A beautiful fawn was sitting by the driveway yesterday.

    National Newspaper Carrier Day – however, if you live too far out in the country there is no carrier…

    So, here’s something new for today: I had seen this before but ignored it, but recently it showed up in the comic strip Blondie. I thought I’d share it so all of could be on the same page should it come up in the future.

    On fleek” is an American slang term that means something is stylish, elegant, excellent, or ideally suitable. It’s often used to describe someone’s appearance or style, but can be used to describe anything that’s flawless. For example, you might say “eyebrows on fleek” or “that outfit is on fleek”. 

    The term’s origin is unclear, but it may be based on the words “flair” and “chic”. Kayla Newman is credited with coining the term. 

    The term was originally used to describe perfectly-groomed eyebrows, but has since been used to describe a wide range of things, including hash browns and skateboards.

      I particularly like how it has devolved from classy to describing hash browns. Happened with “world class” when it was put in the same sentence with tuna salad.

        Devolution is a great term for it. Degradation is another. It’s as if the original meaning was never really understood,

        I realize that language is ever-changing, but if it isn’t trying to describe something unique, many times a word already exists that explains what someone is trying to express, without confusion as to the meaning.

        In that case is it ignorance or ego?
