Morning everyone. That long awaited day is here! About 12 weeks of glory starts today. I gots to get the smoker going, got ribs, a hen, burgers, cheezits, firecrackers, and smoked cream cheese to do.

Afternoon All. Crisp air and sunny here. It is my DIL’s birthday today and I thought I knew where her present was, but can’t find it. Evidently I have moved things around enough to not know where it ended up. So I will spend the day looking for it.

Happy day, mom! Good luck with the search. I too have been “losing” things, especially if I don’t put them where they belong. One good thing about reorganizing the storage areas is that I have rediscovered things I forgot I had.

Well, I have discovered that the bulk of my problem is the photographs. I finally made up my mind that I had to throw most of them out. I have to go through them because I want the pictures of my family and they can’t be replaced. The second decision I had to make was what to do with them because I didn’t want to throw them in the trash. For some reason that makes me uncomfortable, so I am going to have them burned. I am okay with that. As I go through them I am sorting them and putting them in folders. I just looked in that extra room and found three more big boxes. It is going to take a while to get through them all.

I am lucky because we went through all of my mother’s photos for her 90th birthday celebration and i.d.’d all of the ones that could be. I still have some to throw out too. I did divide them into file folders by subject or person, and put them in a plastic filing box. Nonetheless, I still have more to do. Seems to never end!
