Repentance and a willingness to change on the part of the offending party are an essential part of forgiveness. It’s not a blank check. Change is then expected. If it does not occur then the consequences for the behavior can follow. How it follows is generally guided by the severity of the offence, and to a certain extent the past history of the offender.
Mercy is the mitigation of deserved punishment.

Has anyone seen the picture posted in the last few days on some website about praying? It says “You think this is you praying” but it is really “this”. It shows a woman praying alone and another picture of the woman praying with Jesus there..
