Today how about visiting somewhere you’ve likely never heard of…like Wallis and Futuna in the South Pacific where it is now springtime. It’s a French “collectivity” comprised of 3 main islands, Wallis, Futuna and Alofi, plus numerous tiny islets.
Mata-Utu Cathedral on Wallis (one of 6 churches serving a population of 11,488 as of this year, down from a high in the 15,500 range several years ago)

Good afternoon, Czarina! Well, the string cheese is allowed on my diet. So I looked up who started the National String Cheese Day….
“National String Cheese Day celebrates the stringy snack, which is usually made with mozzarella cheese. The day was founded by Galbani Cheese in 2017.”
And I can buy it in several places around my area. Yippee…it’s U.S.-made; so I’ll give Galbani some business.

Morning’ All. It was 40* when we got up this morning. My sweatshirt wasn’t quite enough today. The sky has small puffy clouds everywhere. I wonder if they will go away later.
I have an eye appt later this morning. The construction crew hasn’t come back so I don’t think it will be noisy today. I had been concerned about them working around the apartment and scaring Loki if I wasn’t here. But, I would be gone while they usually take lunch anyway.
Well, must get going. I need to do the dishes and a few things before I leave. Hope you all have a nice day.

Good day, aus! It started raining just when I went out to get my mail. So I had to go back and put on a raincoat rather than the long sweater and change hats to a waterproof one. Of course it stopped raining once I got back inside. Such is September in the inland northwest.
Gee sends a meow to Loki. For some reason he’s taken to jumping in my chair when I leave the room. But he looks so cute lying there that I hate to make him move. Explaining that the computer chair is mine has so far not done any good.

Don’t know if non-subscribers can read at Substack, but this is an excellent article on Shapiro and his unilateral decision. It’ll be very interesting to see if the Republican Senate in PA pushes back.

That portion of the Constitution says in relevant part, “The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof..”.

Fascinating, Stella, and depressing. There’s virtually no way to stop any of this under the present regime’s pick-a-target-create-a-crime traitorous maneuvers. Their media lackeys provide cover if anything doesn’t go the regime’s way.
The immediate goal is to cause the majority of citizens not to rock the boat. Lie low. Stay clear of protests that gain publicity. Turn on the self-preservation mind-set. Fear works.
