Have a lovely Saturday at Mount Spokane….

Vista House was built in 1933 at the summit of Mount Spokane…

I didn’t hike to the summit (no way, no how…LOL!) but visiting beautiful Washington state was wonderful. Luckily my nephew loves to drive and we had a great tour of eastern Washington, staying up until the wee hours of the morning just talking. During the day we absolutely consumed way too many calories (I’ll have to convince whoever visits next to take me to The Old Spaghetti Factory…such terrific food and they even give you free ice cream for dessert!), did too much window shopping and rummaging around in antique stores, and talked some more with me telling him and his wife funny stories of his Mom (my sister) and me when we were kids. Altogether a really fun time, though sorta exhausting for this ole gal. I’m still recovering.

    Spirit Lake from Mount Spokane…

Downtown Spokane – Spokane Falls and dam, Spokane River, located in the central business district…

    The lovely city at night…

Spokane is a relatively conservative city (the 2nd largest in Washington with Seattle being first). It’s represented in the House of Representatives by Cathy McMorris Rodgers who was the only Washington lawmaker to vote against President Trump’s impeachment.

Beautiful pictures! I remember the Spaghetti Factory from 40 years ago in Ogden, UT.

The restaurants probably all have similar colorful and fun interior decor. We sat in one of the booths, which I prefer, and our excellent waitress had worked there for years….

This is the exterior of the one in Spokane….

Thanks, weather! A great time was had by all. Even Gee came out of his hiding place the night before family departure. Via much coaxing he finally came over to sniff my niece-in-law’s outstretched hand. A miraculous first for him. Being a former feral cat who was trapped, altered and released, it appears he never got over the trauma.

They were going to bring their adorable 4-month-old Blue Heeler…

…but he’s still too rambunctious to travel and visit; I’m glad about that because Gee has never been chased by a dog, though he did meet their previous dog, a German Shorthaired Pointer…

It Begins: 20 Heavily Armed IRS and ATF Agents Raid Great Falls Gun Store, Seize Firearm Purchase Records
By Jim Hoft June 16, 2023 10:11 pm

Tom Van Hoose, the owner of Highwood Creek Outfitters (MTN News)
In an unprecedented move, twenty armed Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) agents carried out a raid on a gun store in Great Falls, Montana, seizing all Form 4473s – documents that record buyer’s information during firearms transactions.

Here’s an update on Tranny Night, or whatever, at Dodger Stadium. There was a bit of sleight-of-hand going on with some of the reporting of this, but the Dodger’s played the same game. They “honored “the weirdos about 2 hours before game time. So the net result was that about 50 people were in the stands. There were a whole lot more protesting outside the stadium. Trying to play both sides against the middle.

This is a bit similar to posts above–can’t avoid the signs of the times.

This gave me a massive outburst of LOL’ing that showed signs of having no conclusion.

    https://www.kptv.com/2023/06/16/mayor-wheeler-planning-ban-open-drug-use-portland/

What an aggressive, intuitive, startling moving on the part of that knothead.

Two weeks ago they finally banned DAYTIME CAMPING on every square inch of space anywhere near downtown Portland (which looks just like Philadelphia downtown now….) What a storm of protest that brought–the Oregon legislature was “this close” to passing a “Right to Rest Law”–which INCLUDED any residential area in Portland….and it meant that anyonewhoneededtorestatanytime could set up their resting area on your front lawn or in your drive and you woul be fined (don’t remember the exact amount–something like $1200, as I recall) if you interfered with them homesteading on your grass. It wasn’t until a couple of days before that lunacy was goig to be voted on/approved that word got out. Oregonians who are normal people threw a fit and it got stopped….for now.

Perhaps, just occasionally, the people who made the mess (like Ted Wheeler) actually do have to suffer their own consequences. Not often enough to suit me, but perhaps sometims.

oh….and since they banned open camping all day/every day, now the outcry is based on….”you mean these houseless people have to carry their stuff around with them all day….”

Yup. Just like backpacking in the city: ya pack up every morning and walk all day until you find a new campsite at 8pm.

Well, to scotch the whines of the overindulgent city and state government officials who “worry” about street people moving their possessions, Portland could do like some cities and provide shopping carts. But the Left isn’t interested in solving problems. They are in the business of taking down America and they smell blood.

The problem with leftie do-gooders is that they are actually do-badders. They don’t give a fig about mentally ill or down-and-out humans. These souls are mere chess pieces in an agenda.

Mornin’ All. Woke up to lucky weather this morning. It is rainy, in the 50’s, and gray overcast. I think it is supposed to be like this all day. I enjoy a rainy day every once in a while and we sure haven’t had many here.

No more news about the apt. I will have to wait until Mon., when I hopefully will find out something more. Patience is not my strong suit. 🙄

    Stay safe and dry.

Another day of predicted 50% rain which went to the east and west of here. The clouds all day did keep the temps down, I think we barely broke 90*. Also amazingly dry for the summer in the south: my eyeglasses don’t fog up everytime I leave the a/c.

The Bidenhandlers continue to participate in elder abuse. The whole lot of them, including the good doctor, must despise this demented man. How else to make sense of sending him out from Day One to lie, make mistakes, trip and fall, act goofy, get handsy with females of all ages, propose idiotic things the handlers give him to read off the Teleprompter, sniff children, embarrass himself in meetings with foreign heads of state, forget people’s names, repeatedly claim his son Beau died in Iraq, on and on?

The following is one more instance which covers several items listed above….

Twitter Slaps Biden with Massive Fact Check After WH Tries to Spread Lie About Children’s Deaths
    Posted June 17, 2023

On Friday, the president went to Twitter to make his case for gun control and banning the AR-15 models, a cause that has near-universal support in his party. As part of his argument for gun control, Biden claimed that guns were the main cause of death for children in the United States.

This seems unreal. I can’t believe this. The Last Man on Earth with Vincent Price, 1964. It is about a scientist who works at a chemical research facility, and there is a deadly disease and they didn’t know if it was airborne or not. Everyone is getting it and they are burning the bodies. People don’t want to call the doctor because they are taking away the bodies forcibly. People get sick, go blind and die and then some live as zombies. They are like vampires.

At some point he mentions that it had something to do with a bat and he can use his good blood, for some reason he doesn’t get sick, to inject into those who are infected and cure them. Oh, yeah, and there is a way to help people with an injection, but it changes them (you know, like DNA or something). And, there is supposed to be some kind of New World Order with these people who are getting injections

Let’s see………..does this sound familiar for some reason?
