HOW TO VISIT THE GIANT’S CAUSEWAY (+ PHOTOS & HELPFUL TIPS)
The unique look of the causeway was formed by volcanic activity 60 million years ago. It was the oozing up of basalt lava through the chalk beds and then the subsequent cooling that formed these pillars.
I’m frequently irritated there are no rocks here (alluvial soils, deltaic river) but after looking at several of those pictures I think I could get tired of so many rocks…
Happy to send you some of ours if you pay freight, Czarina 😉
DH had to use a concrete saw for the footings of our house, but I believe we”re earthquake safe here. They are wonderful for landscaping, however!
Decades ago I drove the very narrow, climbing approach road to view that up close. It was worth it, but I have no interest in doing it again! Maybe the approach has improved….
Bank on the replacement to be 10 times worse! The Left only gets better at heading in the negative direction! The cure? Delete the position altogether!
Mornin’ all ya’all. Recovering from a cold so I’ll stay home another day. Hot and humid outside anyway. Maybe I’ll do some sewing—- night need to do repairs on my coronation outfit…
The Stone of Destiny is seen during a welcome ceremony ahead of the coronation of Britain’s King Charles III, in Westminster Abbey, London, on Saturday…

Take, for instance, the archbishop’s greeting at the beginning of the ceremony: “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you.” “Alleluia. Christ is risen,” the archbishop continued. The congregation’s response? “He is risen indeed. Alleluia.”
Good morning, everybody! Seems like a nice day so far here. Should get up to 70° or so by this afternoon. Tucker is doing well. He had his breakfast and is napping now.
Good afternoon, Stella! We’re at 64 degrees and sunny today but tomorrow–just in time for my doctor appointment–it will be raining all day. C’est la vie!
Kiss Tucker for all us Stellars and remind him that not ripping up toys from now on will save Mom a lot of moolah.

Michigan Supreme Court Embroiled in Pronoun Battle Prompted by ACLU—Thomas More Law Center Joins Fray
ANN ARBOR, MI — On Monday, May 1, the Thomas More Law Center (“TMLC”) filed its written opposition in the Michigan Supreme Court challenging the wisdom of a proposed amendment to Michigan Court Rule 1.109, which would require all judges in the state to refer to parties and attorneys by any personal pronoun they select.
Evening All. It was raining this morning when I woke up and has rained all day, sometimes lightly and sometimes harder. And, it has been cool.
I finally got on the correct websites and now have a list of 5 low income places. One has been available for 29 days and another of 16. So I feel like I have a pretty good chance of getting in one. And, all of these are within 15 min. of my family and 10 min of the church. I also like the arrangement of the rooms in the two that show the layout. I emailed all the places over the weekend, but have’t heard from anybody today. Maybe tomorrow, so I can go and tour the apartments.
Happy Monday, Stellars! Interesting places to visit outside of North America….
Canterbury, England…

Riga, Latvia…

Oia, Santorini, Greece…

Giants Causeway, Northern Ireland…
