Mornin’ all ya’all! Gorgeous day, sunny and cool with a breeze. Thousands of things to do outside. Rained a lot about 8 last night. Thunder and lightning and hard rain on the steel roof: very noisy! Supposed to be nice for a couple of days now. Hope everyone has a good day.

He had a bit of a setback. He has vomited a couple of times. I called the emergency vet, and she reassured me some, but if he keeps vomiting I may have to take him back in. He finally had a bowel movement last night outside, which is good news. He doesn’t seem sick, other than the vomit. No whining or complaining. He is drinking water and napping.

Mornin’, all. Our Favorite Sunday Columnist is concerned about where we are headed. However, she does see some shoots popping up that give her hope. Coffee’s on the way!

I wonder when millions of illegals will begin to understand that they might be one of the top three priorities to deal with when normal Americans are in places of authority……I detest their presence. No different than if three of them showed up at my door, demanded to move into my house to stay and demanded that I feed them, provide their transportation and add them to my medical insurance.

I detest their presence and everything it represents.

I for one will be watching the reaction of Ronald and the Hamburglar to the latest gesticulations of the wack-job head of the world infamous NAN, or National (in)Action Network, the dude who thinks taxes are for us little people, The Revvvvvvvvvrend Al Sharpton. Still playing from the 1971 raycisssss playbook. I hope Ronald et al, push back.

My son and his wife took me to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival today and then out to lunch – very nice day, and I’m totally exhausted!! The flowers so beautiful–lots of people (and alot of them brought their doggies–all very well behaved and fun to watch) –

Oh Sharon what a wonderful way to spend the day….I worked with the City of Canby off and on for about 5 years and I absolutely loved the drive through the Woodburn area when the tulips were in bloom. (The iris and dahlia fields were gorgeous as well….)

We saw some tulip types we had never seen–seemed to be newly developed–really pretty and weird!

We also had a wonderful conversation at one of the craft booths with a man who was making wooden shoes!!….as we watched him. He was actually apprenticed to the man who owned this business (who was not present at the moment when we were there)….this younger (50s) man was so enthusiastic about talking about the history of the shoes, the styles, how some of them were even used as tools—by putting certain shapes or “notches” in the wood that would help the owner in his own business/workaday endeavors. It was just fun listening to him! That kind of knowledgeable craftsmanship, in whatever form it occurs, is what will make a way forward for individuals no matter what kind of stuff happens with “the country” in the coming years.

The weather was clouded over–we wondered at first if that would be a disadvantage, but it wasn’t. Made for a pleasantly cool time, no wind to speak of, and far better than full sunshine (like we had yesterday) which took temps up to 80 degrees and higher. I would have baked with that and would have had a real hard time tolerating it. Just a fine day all around!
