    So, it’s almost time for the second big annual event in NO, Jazz Fest. Actually, New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. It is held primarily at The Fairgrounds, not far from downtown for two weekends Thursday-Sunday the last of April first of May. Music, food, lectures, walking around in the mud (seems to rain at least one day), arts and crafts, stuff for kids and everybody else to do. Mostly out in the sun, but you can plan to stay in the shade more (Gospel Tent), except for standing in lines for food and the port-a-lets. Worth doing at least once, maybe more. I go about every ten years. Some people go every day every year.

    My friend in FL called as soon as I got up this morning. I was on the phone with her when the news came out about Tucker Carlson being fired. He was the only news anchor she would watch. Most of her news actually comes from me.

    It must have rained here last night. Everything was really wet this morning. And, it has been cloudy all day, white clouds, and then dark clouds. It is 51* right now and humid, but very pleasant outside.

    Hope this is a start of a nice week.
