Mornin’ kids!

Clever, but kinda creepy…
When I was in high school my mother brought us an Ouija board and we played with it for a while, then she put it away saying it was not good to play with it. Like she got spooked. Or read something in church literature. My brother still has it.
When I was in college we had one in our dorm room and frequently spent hours communing with the spirits. Of course, nothing useful ever came of it, like predictions for the stock market…

Mornin’ Czarina! I’d been warned about them my whole childhood from my grandma…still haven’t tried one.

My cousin said she had a creepy experience with an other worldly presence. I don’t remember the details, but I decided not to dabble.

I remember someone brought one out when I was in my teens. It didn’t take long before I got totally creeped out by it.

I’d give away little uplifting booklets or spiritual mementos. What would you give out?

Maybe feathers. Might make them think, like the. Ouija board…

Morning czarina. The Catholic in me comes out, of course. I had one as a child too, bought by my mother who was always way too willing to dabble in the supernatural hocus pocus stuff. In her defense, she was very uninformed on said hocus pocus and religion as well.
I’ve done a lot of reading and research. I am utterly convinced there is grave danger in such things as Ouijis, tarot, and all other divining games or means.
There is evil. There are demons. Don’t give them even a crack to possibly exploit.

Your last line, Menagerie. Yes. Yes. And yes.
The mother of one of our grandsons and his two half-brothers (sort of foster grandsons to us) were exposed to “casual” demonic activity (meaning regularly, sort of everyday stuff) in her home. I won’t share the stories and reports of things we saw and had to deal with when they had been at her house and then came to our house. Visible. Audible. Threatening. And they were toddlers.
When we moved to Minnesota and lived in a great wide countryside surrounded by 4th-5th generation Scandinavian protestant farm families, I was shocked by the evil things they put up on their farms along the county roads. Based on conversation I learned that they thought it was just a big fun game. No, it’s not a game…it’s an invitation.

Afternoon All. It is now 45* and sunny with a few big clouds. It is very nice out.
I guess what I will do today is to start sorting junk to take to Goodwill, or wherever. I was working on that when it snowed back in the Fall. And, it needs to be done. Who knows when a cheaper apt might come available.
Anyway, have a nice day.

I just made my first donation to Purple Heart. The nice thing is that they pick it up.

I made a note and will check on that.

I think Salvation Army does pick up in some areas too.
