Stellars, have a blessed springtime Saturday….

The Mary Moser Room was commissioned by Queen Charlotte in the mid-1790’s from renown flower painter Mary Moser to look like an open arbor.

Charlotte was queen consort to George III of American Revolution fame.

The gardens were created in the 1790s by Queen Charlotte’s Vice-Chamberlain, Major William Price, and by the Rev. Christopher Alderson of Derbyshire. Before that time the gardens had been flat, with no ornamental water. Price and Alderson created the winding lakes, wooded mounds, glades, walks and bridges in the Picturesque style. The Queen had a passionate interest in botany and introduced over 4,000 trees and shrubs to create a picturesque landscape. The historic plantings, including tulip trees and redwoods, provide a rich setting for the garden’s seasonal variations.

I’m sure it is and was beloved by people who like overly ornate decor and gold plated anything. Personally I find it distracting. The grounds, however, are quite acceptable. “ Created from flat ground” shows how much work it took.

Didn’t Harry and M get kicked out of Frogmore recently?
Charlotte was very pretty, wasn’t she?
Love Moser!! She was a classic, really.

Meghan Markle: From Palace Darling to Coronation Reject
          Posted by Pluto – April 14, 2023

Valentine Low’s “Courtiers” gives us an insider’s look into how desperately Meghan wanted to be rejected by the royal family and the monarchy, only to find herself rejected by the world at large. Be careful what you wish for!

Not that I’m sticking up for Charles. He’s as woke as they come and completely buys into climate change and the Ukraine debacle. So does William.

Mornin’ all ya’all. Trying to learn how to balance the chemicals in my hot tub. This is difficult because 1. I never took chemistry, and 2. All the instructions are in words which are not on the bottles of chemicals I have. I keep testing then calling the guy at the supply store what the results are and he has to translate. And the test strips are in shades of colors I cannot imagine…

Watch out, czarina, you might come out all green and tarnished.

Don’t wear silver in the tub. There is a chemical used in it that will turn it black.

No minor task, Czarina; I know of someone who [incredibly] died from some type of bacteria in her hot tub. You’re certain to becocme an expert with a little time, though!

Find an employee who’s good at breaking it down for you. In most stores there will be one employee who is the go to person. Go into the store during lull hours and pick their brain.

You don’t need to know complex chemistry, just basics of alkalinity and ph. I do admit that I found the colors on the tubes hard to see. Invest in a good testing kit.

I had many years of enjoyment in my hot tub, plus it really helped the aches and pains. I miss having a hot tub more than anything! You’ll figure it out and enjoy it soon. Test a couple times a week and it will be easy to keep balanced when you get it figured out.

Thanks for the encouragement. My go-to-guy will be the man who came to inspect and do the start up. He worked for the Cal Spa store in Covington, LA years ago, beforeit was bought out and stopped selling Cal Spas, was very kind and knowledgeable, and said to call anytime till I felt comfortable.

Afternoon All. It is 35*, overcast for now, and trying very hard to rain or snow a little.

I am getting better. I was nauseous after breakfast yesterday. But I felt like trying an egg and tea this morning. So far so good.

I watched a Hallmark movie yesterday. I kept feeling like I have seen it before. As the movie went on, I started remembering. The almost exact story was done on a beach in the “Cape of Cod” as Radar said, or someplace like it up North, and this one was set in Florida. But, it was almost the exact same script. Makes me wonder how many other movies were redone. I have often had the feeling I was watching a movie over when I knew I had never seen it.

Well, have a nice Sat. Hope your weather is good.

Good afternoon, aus! The sun is shining and it’s 55 degrees here. I actually turned off the heater earlier but it’s already feeling too cool in the apartment. Saving money on electricity will have to wait until next month probably.

If you’re looking for a good movie for your Saturday night viewing, this was recently posted on YouTube. Being as it was made in 1935, it’s sort of a dated espionage fantasy. But it’s always fun to see early Hitchcock films. This one has been colorized.

Hi everybody! Spring seems to have skipped on by, and we now in summer. It’s 82° right now. I had to dig out the summer clothes so that I don’t suffocate. Can’t trust that it will continue, unfortunately.

Chinese spies marching by us in Darien Gap — to America. Who is destroying our food supply? Why does FBI never mention it? FBI is filled with Chinese.

A lot of weird stuff going on in Darien. Chinese men who came in as migrants checked into our hotel after midnight last night in Darien. At least two men.
